It's been two weeks since Mr. Flamhaff was brutally murdered by Jeff the Killer. Who I let escape. I still feel regretful and guilty ever since but, I have calmed my nerves since then and focused on three things.First, finding as much as I possibly can about the town my sister got kidnapped in, which I still do not have any idea of.
Second, to make sure that Jeff is not killing people around by take long walks on the streets every night. I have got to keep a look out. But I have bothered the police quiet a bit since I press call to 911 even at the slightest sounds. Such as a cat screaming. I thought it was a baby or a woman.
Nevertheless, the police were happy with me being cautious. And third, making my friends worry-free. To prove that I don't study every single second after I return home from school, the group decided to hang out at a café then watch a movie.
This is the kind of stuff they do on weekends. Since I'm a part of their group, they were kind enough to invite me. Well, they have invited me to every single get together but I declined, thus the excuse of studying.
I sigh and pull my black curls to the side as I gave my outfit a look through the body mirror.
I'm so glad that I finally got rid of that cursed bandage around my knuckles.
I actually got rid of it about a week ago. Since then, I've been thankful more than anything.
I gave my clothes another look.
Black skinny jeans, navy blue full-sleeved sweater, knee-length navy blue patterned socks and turquoise converse.
Good enough.
I grab the nearest hoodie I could find and wore it. Looking over myself, I realise it's the black hoodie I wore when Jeff and I first met.
Feeling grossed out, I took it off and rummaged through my closet for anything else.
I grab a sleeveless leather jacket and left my room to go downstairs.
I walk outside to be enveloped by dark grey clouds. Locking the front door, I start walking towards the direction of the café. Walking down some streets, taking in the view, everything felt so calm and peaceful. A park came by and I decide to walk through it. It might take longer for me to get to the café in time but, I got a lot of time...
I need to be there by 6...
Checking my cell phone, I curse under my breath after I glance at the time which read: 6:03
Awesome.
Suddenly, thunder was heard and droplets began pouring down.
Even more awesome.
I pull my hood up of my jacket and start running, trying to keep my phone away from the rain. The rain did not make me feel too cold but I could feel myself shiver every now and then after I was practically soaked. I ran across the park and found a shed. The shed helped me feel warmer and the cold breeze died down.
I pulled my hood off and went through my contacts to call Aiden to come pick me up. Once I pressed the call button, it started to ring. After it rang for a few seconds, I could hear the faint sound of laughter through my phone and it was a little static. Probably because of the rain.
"Hey Channy!" Came Aiden's voice, muffled because he sounded like he was eating something.
"Hey. Listen, I'm stuck in the rain and I don't think I can make it if I walk..."
Aiden starts choking, probably on his food, and once he got his voice back, he said,
"You were walking over to the café?! Well, why didn't you tell us before?!"
