Chapter Two:  Trials

He followed her out not looking behind him, he couldn't think of what they'd do to her while he was gone. He could not think of what was going to happen to him, but he did know one thing. He didn't know how but somehow he was going to get out.

They were walking down white halls the same colour as the rest of the building, he couldn't understand how anybody could deal with so much disinfectant. He looked ahead of him at the women. "How did I get here?" he asked looking around doubting he would get an answer from someone like her.

"You were there. You should know." he glanced around desperately, he could not remember anything except waking up in front of many people than being knock out by some unknown drug, and meeting someone pleasant who than died in front of him.

"No. I don't remember... What is my name?" he questioned; trying not to feel sorry for himself.

"You are patient 402. If you can't remember the better for us. We will be having some more tests on you later this afternoon. You ever try and get out we have permission to shoot you. I am not authorised to say anymore." her voice was sounded harsh. Why wasn't he aloud out? He hadn't done anything to them. They did stuff to him!

As the halls felt long and distant he walked on, finding there to be hardly any windows to show the outside world. He had nothing left to say to that women but still tried to catch a glimpse of what was happening. There was only one time but it had to be early morning because it was still dark outside and there was a tall tree reaching over it. Just as he looked away he saw something running up it, he looked back but the thing was gone out of sight. It was just his imagination he thought to himself.

They finally reached what she could call his "room" with the numbers in big black bold across it saying Patient 402. "You'll find everything you need in there. Don't expect room service or anything, you're not human as far as we're concerned."

He walked into the room noticing that the door was made of steel and really quite thick, which made no sense to him why would they need a door that big? Before he could look around properly the women closed the door somewhat quickly without coming in. He could see through the small window that she was locking it too before walking away.

The room was small, it fit a bed, some mirrors and a place to make tea or coffee. It would've been a nice room if he hadn't of been stuck in here and hadn't had surveillance cameras in each corners of the room.

He moved around to the mirror, it was clean and reflected off most things. Though the boy facing back at him didn't really look like what he imagined. He was tall with deep green eyes kind of like Beth's. He looked down on the ground wishing he could've helped her in someway. Looking back up at the mirror he had hazel coloured hair, his arms were thin and long. He could not understand how he had pulled those straps off, he looked as though he couldn't hit anything without it rebounding and hitting him. He had the same white clothes on, although instead of a dress it was a top and some strange shorts.

Getting bored of his reflection he moved around the room touching the heavy woolen bed cover which surprisingly felt like soft tissue before his fingers. He pulled away astonished, it should feel like wool, hard and heavy wool! He thought angrily, tearing it slightly as he got up.

He wanted to get out of this place, was all he could manage to make himself think. His gut feeling was the only thing he could on by now. He wasn't sure if he could trust anyone at this rate.

By the time anyone came to collect him to run more "tests" he had somehow broken the bed in two and decided it was safe for him to lie on the ground. He hadn't tried opening the door yet though it was on his list of things to do.
