"Well done Ms. Martin." Mr. Thomas smiled at me and handed me my essay which I did last week and a big red A was marked on the cover and there was even a sticker of a smiley face. I smiled back at Mr. Thomas as he handed Nate back his paper.
"I'm very disappointed in you Mr. Parker." His smile quickly changed into a frown and Nate reached to receive the paper and Mr. Thomas moved along.
"What did you get?" I asked leaning over to see his grade.
His face was in shock as his eyes scanned the paper and then he covered his face with his hands.
"I'm screwed." He whined as I pulled the piece of paper from his hands to mine. A red C was marked on the top left corner and 'You could do better' was written right next to it.
"What a hell of a start." Nate sighs. I pat him in the back and he straightens up and looks at me. I give him an apologetic look and he sighs again. As Mr. Thomas does another round he finally makes it back to Harry and hands him back his paper.
"Great job Mr. Styles, if you continue like this for the rest of the year there is no doubt that you would succeed as a great writer yourself one day." Harry grabs the paper and puts his head down looking humiliated. The class whispers and Mr. Thomas interrupts them to explain the homework before he dismissed us.
I casually look over to my right to see Harry's grade an +A. I start scanning the paper and briefly reading it until his elbow covers it up.
"Don't be sneaky, princess." He whispers and winks at me and I roll my eyes and rest my head against Nate's shoulder and he in reaction wraps his arm around me. I snuggle in his chest and smile, daydreaming and not paying attention to the homework instructions.
...
"The teacher is freaking crazy!" Cass complained as the lunch line moves forward. "A whole lab report due next week. Signing up for advance Science is seriously one of my biggest regrets." I giggle at hearing her whine, that really makes my day.
We finally made it to the end of the line and I chose a greek yogurt, strawberries, a cereal bar and a bottle of water and Cass chose the same since it is part of our diet and this is one of those normal days when we can eat a regular combination of food. After paying for our food Cass and I were in search of a table and found Nate and Zayn laughing together and each with a tray in front of them that had a burger and a water bottle, so Cass and I decided to head over there.
"Hey hey!" Cass smiled at both of them and gave a flirty wink to Zayn. We both sat at the chairs across from them and started pouring out strawberries to the cup of greek yogurt and mixing it up.
"Girls have the weirdest taste when it comes to food. Why not just get a hamburger?" Zayn asked taking another big bite.
"Hey, boys have food and girls have fashion. Don't get your f words confused." I responded Zayn and took the first spoonful of yogurt and strawberries.
"I want to scream the f word right now, thanks for the unnecessary lecture." Cass giggled at Zayn's remark since she was being all flirty and I found it quite annoying.
"Attitude much?" I said barely whispering it and Nate let out a small chuckle and smiled at me. We laughed between each other.
I heard a ping and turned to get my phone when I saw Niall's typical table from the corner of my eye. He was sitting there with Liam and a third guy in the middle of both of them. His face was covered by a notebook in front of him whom he was showing to the other two guys. Niall and Liam laughed at what the mystery guy was showing them while in the bench opposite of them was David and Seth speaking between each other. Finally Niall asked something to the guy in the middle which made him put the note book down and reply with a pearl white smile and they both chuckled again.
