After I shook Mystogan's hand, I noticed it feeling colder than it should normally feel. I was well aware that we live up in the icy cold mountains, but still..it shouldn't be this cold. I decided to build a fire hoping he would feel warmer. " Mystogan, are you okay?" I spoke in a soft tone.
"Y-Y-Y-Yes I am." He spoke while clinging onto his coat.
"Hmmm..it doesn't look like it. I shall go out to fetch some wood and food. Please stay here. It's much safer for you if you do so." I said while looking at him.
"I will, but please tell me, what is your name?" He spoke anxiously.
"My name is...Erica Dawn." I spoke while exiting.
"Hmmm..Erica Dawn. What a gorgeous name. "
As I walked in the white woods through the frigid air. I spotted some fish swimming. I carefully grabbed my wooden staff and swung with all my might. "Ah.. That should do it. " I spoke while smiling.
"Now it's time to head back. "
As always, Saya was by my side. There was no need to have her come forth to me. She was my loyal companion, and friend.
When I came back, I noticed Mystogan talking to himself. It sounded more like some kind of a forbidden enchantment, but I was positive that I was just thinking foolishly. I mean..he's a human. Right? He was lost in the frozen woods. Well..no time to think of such utter nonsense. Time to prepare supper. "Oh Mystogan! ^.^ I got some food. It's fish. I know it's not so appealing, but we must eat up so we can have energy." Mystogan looked at me with thankful eyes. How could I even begin to think of deceiving him when I just met him? I guess that's where trust takes its lead.
"Thank you for the meal Erica." He said so graciously. "I shall eat this with much delight." After supper, I began to wash the dishes using the cold mountain water. Our utensils were made out of wood and rock. Just like how barbarians would. I know I must sound like a horrid creature to you, but I simply am not. "Well..I am off to bed. We have many journeys ahead of us, and many stories to tell."
"Agreed." He spoke tiredly.
"Good night Mystogan."
"Good night Erica."
