"the hardest part about living is breathing. sometimes the breathing gets faster than it should. that is when you push yourself to hard. sometimes the breathing slows down. that is when you need to calm down. and sometimes the breathing just stops. that is when you give up.

no one ever wants to be remembered as the one who gave up. when they notice the scars on your wrist, they think of you as someone who is giving up. that makes it even harder to breathe. everything is harder these days.

but when the right person comes around they'll notice your scars and realize that you aren't giving up. you are fighting as hard as you can everyday of your life. that person is someone you won't find everyday on the street. someone you want to hold onto.

i found a boy who was a lot like that. he was really sad and angry all time. i wanted to make him feel as pretty as i thought he was but he found ever detail about him ugly. he thought his scars were ugly. he thought his life was ugly.

that was until i made him feel beautiful again. it took a lot of time. too much time. but soon enough, he knew he was beautiful. every inch of him had beauty and purpose. usually, he'd complain about his appearance but i'd remind him he's gorgeous by saying, "boy, you are every letter of the word beauty. baffling, extraordinary, amazing, unbeatable, totally-whicked... you."
