*A bright flash descends upon the midnight darkness and a deafening eruption wakes the Bishop household. Aaron Bishop was the first to his feet, pulling up his wife, Harper, with him. They knew this would happen eventually, however they didn't expect it quite this fast.
"Get Sophie to take Kenzie and hide behind the stairs. They shouldn't be found there," Aaron screamed to Harper over the horrific roar. Harper grabbed the two month old Kenzie from her bassinet at the end of the bed and ran out her bedroom door, bumping into her seventeen year old daughter, Sophie.
"Mom, whats going on?" Sophie screeched.
"Honey, we love you very much, but you have to hide in the room behind the stairs. You can't come out no matter what. Promise me you won't come out!" Harper weeps as she's stuffing the girls in the small room. With a face full of tears, Sophie agrees, holding a crying Kenzie to her chest.
"I promise mom, I love you."
"I love you too Soph, we both love you very much."
As Harper is saying this to her daughter, a wind picks up and the door between the two close. And then, as if submerged in a tube of ink, all sounds and sights seas to come through, nothing but utter darkness.
