A soft, fond smile playing on Taehyung'd lips. As he reached out his hand and intertwined his fingers with Jungkook’s.

The warmth of his husband’s hand was a familiar, comforting weight. Jungkook leaned his head back against the seat, no longer sulking, but still feeling a delightful flutter of excitement.

The city lights disappeared as they drove down a dark, tree-lined road.

“Where are we going, Tae?” Jungkook finally asked, his voice soft, almost a whisper.

“Somewhere quiet. Somewhere we can just… be,”

Taehyung answered, his eyes fixed on the road, though the corner of his mouth twitched, betraying his secret excitement.

“I booked us a tiny cabin by the lake. No phones, no schedules, just us, the stars, and maybe a campfire.”

Jungkook’s eyes lit up, his earlier pouting completely forgotten.

“A cabin? Oh, Tae! That’s perfect!” He squeezed Taehyung’s hand tightly. “Thank you.”

Taehyung’s heart swelled with happiness. That genuine, beaming smile from Jungkook was the only reward he ever needed. He squeezed back, then released his husband’s hand to shift the gear.

The road got very narrow and dark. The sounds of the city had completely vanished, replaced only by the quiet hum of the engine and the soft music playing on the radio.
Taehyung glanced into the rear-view mirror for a moment, an instinctual habit. He frowned slightly.

He felt a weird feeling. He saw a big, dark SUV following them, staying too close.

"What's wrong?" Jungkook asked.

"Nothing," Taehyung lied, but his grip on the steering wheel tightened.

He drove faster, but the dark SUV kept up easily. Then, the SUV suddenly came very close, its bright lights filling their back window.

Jungkook felt the car tense up.

"Tae?"

"Hold on, Koo," Taehyung said, his voice now serious and hard.

Taehyung knew it was not an accident.

"Someone is following us," he said flatly.

He pushed the gas pedal all the way down, and the car sped into the dark night.

It had been a very long time since Taehyung and Jungkook left the Kim house. Jimin felt a powerful, cold fear growing inside him, like a warning bell ringing in his heart. Something was terribly wrong. He kept looking at the clock. It was almost midnight.

"Aish, Tae, why are you not picking up my calls?" Jimin muttered to himself, getting more upset. "

He had called Taehyung's phone five times since the line disconnected earlier. No answer. He tried calling Jungkook's phone next, but it went straight to voicemail.

The date should have ended by now, Jimin thought....

Jimin stood up and began pacing the room, too worried to sit still.

He had to call someone, but who? Calling the police and saying, "My best friend's twin brother might be planning to hurt him" sounded crazy.

Just as he was about to check on Haeinie, his own phone rang loudly, cutting through the silence.

Jimin snatched it up instantly. It was an unknown number. He hesitated for a second, then answered with a shaky voice.

"Hello?"
