I know that a lot of you who read my books are authors so I want to ask you a question. When you write, does it even seem like you're writing?
When I do, I don't even think about or see my keypad. I just see the words appearing on my screen, seeing the story unfold in front of my eyes. It's a scary, magical, wonderful experience. Everything seems to fade away, I'm in the story, I'm living the story, I am the story. I know this sounds crazy but. . .are any of us really sane?
The words just tumble from my thoughts and my fingers seem to have a mind of their own when they type. I'm in a trance, it's like I'm under a spell that I can't get out of until the story is finished. I'm a part of it. The story is an extension of me. I see myself in every piece of writing I put out for you, my lovable readers, to read. It's not just about me, it's about you.
So, if you think I'm crazy, go ahead and think it. Because I don't see any evidence that I'm sane here. Isn't everyone a little out of their mind?
