Getting the job

"Wait, you want me to work where?" I gasped.
"Jurassic World, we need someone to train the velociraptors," he said, "you know, the ones with the big claws-"
"Yeah, I know what they are..." I rolled my eyes. He obviously had no idea what he was doing...
"So, if you could give me a call by Tuesday, it'd be a real help to know if you could work for us!"
"Yeah, sure thing," I replied, putting the phone down. It took me a moment to realise that I had just been offered a job at the actual Jurassic World. My growing smile soon faded to an embarrassed line as I noticed everyone was still staring at me. Quickly, I left a tip on the table and dashed out the door. Time to tell my family.

"Hey mom," I greeted, hugging my mother.
"How are you? You're getting so tall!" She cooed as I blushed.
"So what's your big news?" My dad asked.
"You've heard of Jurassic Park, right?" I began, nervous to what their reaction would be.
"Of course, who hasn't? It was a tragedy!" I winced as he replied, would he think that I was making a bad choice?
"Well, they're opening a new called Jurassic World, and they offered me a job there!" I waited for their reply, but they both looked furious.
"Well, um..." My mom started, scratching her neck.
"Absolutely not!" My dad yelled, "I want to see my daughter alive a well in 10 years, not being eaten by dinosaurs!" Tears were running down my face.
"This is my dream job! Why won't you just let me live my life?" I shouted at him, while my mother just sat red faced.
"It's dangerous! I want you to be safe!"
"I know the risks, I just wish that you'd understand..." I replied, "what do you think Mom?"
"I- I don't know, I mean, if it makes you happy..." She shrugged, "it's dangerous, so I'm still against it..."
"Thanks mom," I replied sarcastically, "so you both don't want me to go?" They both shook their heads and I glared at them before going into the kitchen and dialling Vic's number.
"Hey, it's me, I want the job..."
