((Getting you guys an update took a little longer than anticipated but I finally got a chance to get you a new oneshot! And with a new little nonetheless! Hopefully this was like a kickstart of motivation and I can get right back onto writing these!))
Cg = Trey
Little = Cater (4-5)

Caters screen time is always more than the average person. He's constantly on his phone, checking socials, posting, scrolling, playing games. Anything and everything. His phone was his life! And of course these habits translated when he was regressed. After an incident of lots of posting of keyboard nonsense he and his caregiver Trey decided maybe it was best to keep his phone away when he felt small. Now of course he hated this. A lot. Even thought it was his idea that he sorta forgot about. Eventually they got him to settle for just tv and cartoons, the better solution.

Or so they thought. It had been a little day for cater, those typically consisted of playing, crafts, rambling about nonsense, and a little bit of cartoons. But today? It had been cartoons nonstop and Trey was having trouble getting the littles attention. "Cater, bud I told you it's time to eat. Your foods gonna get cold." He called out only to be met with another huff. "Gotta finish this episodeeeee!" He whined keeping his eyes glued to paw patrol for the time being. "Kiddo you've been saying you need to 'finish that episode' when you've already started the next one. Come sit down and eat before I decide you're done completely with TV for today. I think you've had quite a bit of it already." Trey had that warning tone. One that was serious but still with good intentions. The little knew this but it didn't mean he liked it. With another huff and a very slow getting up from the couch he begrudgingly made his way to the table. "That's better, you'll survive with out it for a moment while you eat." And while cater ate, Trey was sure to get the remote and keep it on him. Cater had definitely had enough TV time, and he was going to take a bit of a break within good reason.

"All done! See? I go back to watchin cartoons now? Pleaseeee?" There were those puppy dog eyes. "How about you go play with your toys for a bit, m? I don't think you need more cartoons right before nap time. After you wake up you can watch some more." Caters eyes widened like Trey had just said the most awful thing ever. His heart was broken. "But papa!! I wanna watch cartoonssss!!"
He wasn't throwing a tantrum. More so just being whiny about it. "You heard what I said kiddo. You can after nap." And with one more little scowl he stomped off to his toys. Aimlessly pushing around cars and picking up figures. Clearly not amused at all. Eventually moving to his pile of books and flipping through random pages with a sigh as he kicked his legs in boredom and irritation. Finally Trey spoke back up after observing for a moment and well... doing his best not to laugh. "What kind of book do you have there?" Trying to spark some kind of interest from him. All he got was a shrug and some mumble "I dunno... don't matter. Boring anyways..."
********************************************
He should've expected that. "Well do you want to find an interesting one? Papa will gladly read it to you. I think we've got some books about the shows you like." He hummed, sitting down beside him and looking through the pile of books. Cater didn't seem opposed. Maybe he was just that over it. "Oooh. Lookie here is that blues clues? And what about this one? Dragon tales? What do you think?" Cater scooter closer with curiosity. "Blues clues?" "Mhm blues clues! How about we sit on the couch and read this one together?" And that earned a nod. Thank goodness. It must've been the familiar characters, cater wasn't one for reading. Big or small. But maybe picture books with his favorite cartoon characters was fine.

So, with that answer they moved to the couch, Trey getting a cozy blanket, as well as a couple other familiar stories and cater getting snuggled up next to him. And he started reading. Then just what he had planned, cater was out about halfway through their second story. Trey knew that little one like the back of his hand and knew naptime wouldn't have happened this easy if they kept the tv on. It worked out well especially since Cater clearly was ready for a nap with how quickly he was out.
