He has 2 siblings its Laura hale and Cora hale. Laura is dead. His uncle Peter hale is a villian and a bad guy. Peter was the one who started all this.
Peters daughter is Malia hale she is not glad for that.
Dereks family was killed in a fire that kate argent sat on the hale family house just peter, derek, cora and laura survived. After the fire Peter killed Laura beacuse he want to be the alpha. So now it's just Derek, Cora, and Peter thats alive

Derek is a omega and a really good friend of scott.
It was derek that learned scott to control his power, but now derek is a evolved omega werewolf.
That means he can turn into a real wolf thats black and fight harder.
Dereks girlfriends: paige(dead), kate(alive or dead?), jennifer blake(dead) and Braeden (alive).
I think Braeden, stiles, lydia and scott is his bestfriends.
