A/N Sorry it's late guys, I wrote it the other day and I was going to update sooner, but it needed editing and then when I got back I needed to look after my kitten. Sorry guys!

Okay that's covered, cool beans.

~Clara~

I gasp in shock, forcing myself up into a sitting position and grabbing my phone as my ringtone begins to blast around my bedroom, Ruby screeches at my feet in shock and falls off the bed, she glares at me and stalks to the door which she begins to scratch with her long sharp claws.

I quieten her incessant noise with the gesture of my finger pressed to my lips, and I unlock my phone and press answer to the unknown number scrawled across my screen.

Nona went out and bought me a brand new iPhone 5C in yellow, which is my absolute favourite colour, she informs me that every teenager these days has one and that Dad's number is on here but I'd have to say the password to the recorded receiver to actually get through to him.

"Hello?" I speak into the phone, staring warily over to Ruby who is sulking by the door, her fuzzy head hanging low as I grip the phone in my hands, it feels cold under the pads of my fingertips due to being left alone all night. I pull my Paisley pattern-covered legs up to my chest and play with the material anxiously.

"Clara?!" A sweet sing-song voice choruses through my ears bringing a small smile to my face. I run a hand through my hair and pulled stands out in front of my face, frowning at the loss of electric blue.

"Hi Chloe" I laugh nervously, glancing at myself in the mirror across the room and frowning at my early morning state "um...how did you get my number?" My voice comes out uncertain and I find myself grimacing at how awkward that sounded.

"I think your Gran must have recognised me from when I showed you around because she stopped me, she was waiting outside the school for you I think and she gave me your number scribbled on a piece of paper"

Oh Nona.

"Oh okay. I'll save your number then" I laugh weakly as I begin to play with the cuticles of my nails "so is there something you wanted or-?"

"Oh yeah! A big group of us is going down to the bowling alley today and we were wondering if you wanted to come along with us?"

My stomach seems to swell with this new found acceptance that I have been repeatedly receiving for the last week, I grin to myself as I reply "sure, who's going?"

"Well me obviously, Hugo, Elliot, Nessa, and some other people I'm not sure you've met, it'll be fun! Anyway I need to go, meet us at the bowling alley-" she then trailed off to give me directions which I memorised, my finger drawing the route out in the air as if I have an imaginary map in front of my face. I nod stupidly, soon realising she can't see me as I state my understanding

"Okay I'll see you there then! Bye!" She concludes and the call cuts off.

Ruby yowls from the door, I groan, flopping back on my bed at the fact of having to be in the presence of Vanessa freaking Dawson, who for the record has been saying blunt things at me and always glaring at me. But hey it's not my fault that Elliot started talking to me now is it?

Ruby tips her head back and meows loudly, desperately trying to catch my attention. I glance up and I raise my eyebrows to challenge her, she glares back as if to say "if you don't open this damn door I will pee all over your carpet and make it seem like an accident" I curse at her in Italian, practically rolling out of bed to yank the door open for her to trot out with her tail and head held high.
