I cant explain it but I am just dying to talk to the guy. He had left the café after Brianna had left and I stayed behind. I shook my head, sitting back in my seat. I couldn't shake the idea that I've seen that guy somewhere before, just once. Sighing, I got up and left the café, heading back home for a while. I'm hoping Jonathan is there so that I can talk to him.
I fumbled with the keys in my pocket and searched for the right one before opening the door and walked into the house. The room was dim and I glanced around to see if Jonathan was home. He probably wasn't but who knows. I closed the door behind me and wandered through the house, seeing it was empty. I tried thinking of when I had last seen him this morning, drinking his coffee. I noticed there was something off but I cant seem to put my finger on it.
I shake my head and sit down on the couch. I grabbed the remote off the table in front of me and turned on the tv to see what might be on right now. The first thing to pop up was a commercial so I glanced out the window on the far wall. When I looked at the tv screen again, there was a National Geographics show on. It showed a pack of wolves keeping close together and then splitting as they surrounded a herd of elk. I watched it for a bit as the wolves hunted and the narrator was explaining what was going on, what they were doing and what not.
I changed the channel after a while to Sci-Fi and ended up with some show that had werewolves. I changed the channel again, looking at movies and all I could find were ones like Underworld, An American Werewolf in London, and Van Helsing. Unsatisfied, I turned the tv off. I got up and went upstairs to my room, searching through my clothes and pull out the metal feather from one of my pants pockets.
Running my fingers along it makes me think back to that night the house got broke into and I got kidnapped. I immediately push the memories away and go back downstairs. I heard Van Helsing playing on the TV and pause for a moment. When I continue, some what panicked, I felt instant relief as I saw it was just Jonathan sitting on the couch watching it. I put on a smile and walked over to him, putting the feather in my pocket.
"Hey Jonathan, how was work?" Jonathan looked at me with tired eyes and smiled some, "It was alright." I nod, "The usual then?" He nods and I glanced towards the kitchen, "Want anything? Food, beverage perhaps?" I heard him sigh in exasperation, "No thanks Sasha, I just want to relax." I shifted uneasily as I glanced over at him, "Not even a beer?" He didn't take his eyes off the screen as he replied, "Sure..." I took a glance at the movie on the screen.
I'm not sure what point of the movie it is but theres some guy with some girls walking upside down on the ceiling. I assume that there vampires but I look away from the screen to go into the kitchen. I went to the fridge and opened the fridge, grabbing a beer from a shelf for Jonathan. As I head back out to the livingroom I noticed something on the floor near the front door. It looked like dirt but it drew my attention. I shook my head, walking over to the couch and handed Jonathan his beer. He glanced at me and flashed a smile before grabbing a beer opener off the table besde the couch and cracked it open.
"Thanks Sasha." I nod and look towards the door again. Glancing between the tv screen and him, I moved away towards it. It was indeed dirt but it wasn't quite in the shape of Jonathan's shoe prints. I knelt down beside it to examine it better. I'm not entirely a skeptical person but I cant help but notice that theres fur in the print. Its a bit wide for a shoe near the toe and a bit narrow in the heel. It almost looked like they were large elongated pawprints.
Paw prints? That would be impossible, wouldn't it? I shake my head and go back over to the couch, sitting down beside Jonathan. He glanced at me and put his arm around me, watching the movie. Having nothing better to do, I watched it as well. After a while I remembered that there was something I had to talk to him about. I looked at him, "Jonathan?" Jonathan glanced at me and then the watched the TV again, "Yes?" I shifted, "There's something I need to talk to you about. Its probably nothing but I just want to talk to you about it."
