“We will be landing in about five minutes, but please keep your seat belts fastened for the rest of the flight. Thank you! And welcome to Tennessee.” I looked out the window while talking out my headphones out of my ears; I could still hear Taylor Swifts “You Belong With Me” blast through the speakers. Outside it was as if it just stopped rainning, and the heat of the sun shimmered on the wet pavement.
Excitement soared through my veins. It has been two weeks since I left to go on Vacation. Since I have seen him. The trip was amazing I hate this small town, but going to see New York City was like seeing a whole new world. There was the Empire State Building, central park, the statue of liberty, it was breath taking. The only thing I didn’t care for was that stars didn’t shine as bright as they did down here in Tennessee, and not even the Tennessee lights could compete against Drew’s eyes. Drew is my best friend, and we always have been best friends since, well, forever. I couldn’t wait to see his big sea-green eyes and messy brown hair. I couldn’t wait to run into his warm arms and hug him again. In case you haven’t gotten the hint, I am in love with him.
Yes, hopefully this story will become one of your typical cheesy love stories, but there will hopefully be something unique about ours, it’s the story of us, but I am getting ahead of myself who knows if we will even end up together.
Here is the problem with that love story coming true is a dumb bitch named Hailey. She is the most popular girl in school, the typical captain of the cheer team, drop dead gorgeous looks, straight long brown hair with blonde high-lights, big brown eyes, and the perfect body. Drew and Hailey, yea their typical “IT” couple he is the captain of the football and baseball team. Yes, both the football and baseball. The thing anput Drew is he will do anything to make people happy even if it doesn’t make him happy. Drew doesn’t like football he likes baseball, he does football to make his father happy. He wants to grow up and play for the New York Yankees not the New York Giants. Oh and with his love for New York comes love for their sports teams. Of course I am the only one who knows this about him.
Where do I fit in? Well I am the band geek with curly hair and blue eyes, I wear baggy clothes to hide my figure, and I love to sing but I have horrible stage fright. I guess that’s why I like Taylor Swift’s song “You Belong With Me” so much because honestly it describes my life, even the music video fits. The handsome football star lives next to the girl with big glasses and blond hair. I am the band geek and also I play clarinet. If that’s not creepy enough, my name is Taylor, and Drew and I, yea, we have windows looking into each other’s. But instead of using notepads we use walkie-talkies to communicate.
I looked out my window and saw we were landing I grabbed my stuff quickly and waited for the seat belt light to turn off. I could hardly contain my excitement. At last the light went off and I quickly unbuckled. I stumbled to the door. In the distance I faintly heard my parents and older brother yelling my name, oh well.
I was the first one off the plan. I ran into the bag claim area and looked around. I couldn’t wait anymore, I need to see him. My eyes scanned the room.
There he was in the corner of the room with my family’s luggage, smiling his beautiful smile. I felt my heart speed, speed up to an unhealthy rate.
I couldn’t help myself, I ran to him. His warm muscular arms wrapped around my waist, he picked me up and spun me around like a princes. Everyone was looking at us, I laughed and he put me down, still holding on to my hand.
“So tell me how was New York!” he exclaimed, “was its as amazing as you thought it would be!” like me he always wanted something more than this small town.
