I knew from the start that once I seen the new night watch, that he wouldn't last after tonight, if he even comes back. He doesn't focus long enough to keep his ass alive by himself...

It was going on to 5 AM, Jeremy glancing around and constantly checking the clock on the wall instead of the halls and vents.
I had to nudge him about 15 times to remind him to 'wind the damn music box', or 'put on the Fazfuck mask.' Though I gotta say, I feel bad for him. He looks like he's had it rough. The way he reacts to certain things, his expressions and the way he talks... But, hey. I could he wrong.

The crackled sound of cheering rang over the speaker within the office, telling us we could get the hell out of there. I heard Jeremy exhale deeply in relief, which isn't surprising. He fixed up his security suit, standing as proud as he could be, which looked pretty funny. A gave a small smile and got up myself, dusting my pants off and making my way down the hall out of the office.

"Uh-- hey, wait up!"
I heard the other guards small voice call out as he rushed to walk beside me, brushing my arm.
"Y-Y'know, I've been meaning to ask... Why are you still here..? I-I mean, shouldn't you be finding a new job..?"
I stopped in my tracks for a few seconds, looking down, then back up again. I actually had to think about this.
"Well...I really don't know. This whole place has me hooked somehow. It sounds fucked up, but it's true. "
I kept walking, hoping to change the subject before I thought too hard about it. The small male seemed to stare at me, then followed me once again.
"W-Well, I don't feel the same... Even though I'm desperate for a job, I-I'm not desperate enough to get killed..!" Jeremy whimpered a bit.
"Eh, understandable. But...you never know."
He didn't say anything else, so I didn't bother trying to continue to make conversation, even though I was curious about him.
Jeremy started toward the front doors, and I gave him a slight tap on the shoulder.
"Hey, you know we gotta go through the storage room so we can lock it up, right?"
He just froze there.
"D-do I have to..?"
I sighed. "Well, yeah. You're the one with the keys."
"Then h-how did you get inside..?"
"The Boss kept it unlocked for me so I could get here before you. Now c'mon. Nothing can hurt you past 6 AM anyways."
He was acting like a wimp, but I suppose I would be too on my first night going through that place.
"W-what if we went out of the front door and locked it, then went and l-locked that door..?"
He was making this harder than it could've been...but I wasn't going to stay here trying to make him go out the right way.
I crossed my arms. "Fine then. Just because I don't wanna hang around here any longer."
He gave a small nod, and we headed towards the front doors.

-- I know this chapter wasn't that good. And kinda short. But I got a bit of a writers block. My apology. ouo" --
