"Are you sure we're going the right way?" I asked Jessica.

We've been driving down this dirt road for the past five minutes, following the directions from the GPS. We hit a bump and my head bounced off the window. I groaned and pushed my hand up against my head.

"I hope so. There is absolutely no room to turn around whatsoever," Jessica said.

We hit another bump. Jessica's knee bounced up against the steering wheel. She cursed and rubbed it as she continued driving. After another minute or so she sighed and pulled over.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I'm not sure we're going the right way," Jessica said.

"Maybe he lied to you and this is all for fun for them. They wanted to see if we'd fall for it," I said.

Jessica grabbed her GPS and canceled the directions. She put in the address again. The same directions popped up onto the screen.

"We're only about another minute or so away, maybe we should keep going? What's the worst that could happen?" Jessica said.

Jessica pulled back onto the road and started driving again. We kept hitting bump after bump before a loud thump happened. Jessica quickly applied the brakes.

"What was that?" I asked.

"I don't know," Jessica said.

Jessica and I climbed out of her car. We walked around to the back. I saw her right rear tire sitting on the ground.

"Jess, you got a flat. Do you have a spare?" I said.

"I don't know. This was my mom's car and I only just got it. Besides, I don't even know how to change a tire. We're so screwed," Jessica said.

"It's starting to get dark. I don't like this," I said.

Jessica pulled out her phone and turned on the flashlight. She went to the driver's seat and popped open the trunk. She came to the back and opened the trunk and shined her flashlight around.

"I'm going to have to call my dad. He's going to be so mad," Jessica groaned.

"Can we go sit inside the car? I don't feel safe out here," I said.

"Yeah, great idea. I feel like we're in some horror movie or something like that," Jessica said.

Jessica closed her trunk and we climbed back into her car. She quickly locked it and we sat there in silence for a few minutes.

"What're we going to do?" I asked.

"We have to call one of our parents. I have no idea how to change the tire in this thing," Jessica said.

"We are going to get in so much trouble, though. Our parents have no idea that we're going to a party, let alone stranded in the middle of the woods. I know my dad especially would be livid," I said.

"I know, I hate this. Our parents would probably kill us, bring us back to life, and kill us again! Life sucks right now," Jessica said.

We sat in her car in silence, none of us making a move to call our parents. We stared blankly at the woods, not really processing much. I saw something move in the shadows.

"What was that?" I said.

"What? I didn't see anything," Jessica said.

"I could've sworn I saw something," I said.

I climbed out of the car, leaving my door wide open. I walked towards the woods as I pulled my phone out from the top of my dress. It was pitch black now so I turned on the flashlight and shone it into the woods.
