The scariest moment of my life had to be this moment. This very moment. I watched a man transform from a human into this huge wolf in front of my own eyes. And the scariest thing, it was the same wolf from before. The one who was outside of the car as Jessica and I sat debating what to do. I screamed as I turned around and, forgetting that the top of the waterfall was right there, ran straight into water.

I tried to grab anything so I wouldn't be sent plummeting to my death. My hands were to slippery and all the rocks were too slippery. I reached for a tree but the only thing that happened was it cut through my hand, leaving it bleeding with probably some wood stuck in there. And, mind you, this all happened in a matter of seconds before I was free falling through the air, nothing below me but the water itself. Who knew if I'd survive this or not.

Screams tore out from my lungs. I squeezed my eyes shut, not wanting to see my last seconds of life. I felt arms wrap tightly around me. They must've belonged to the angel who takes me after I die because I've never felt more safe then I did at this moment. The angel must've felt mercy and decided to take me before I even died as, at this point, death is inevitable due to how long I was falling. I could've been falling for seconds but to me it felt like I was falling forever. Like its been hours upon hours.

I never felt the bone-breaking crash of the water. All I knew was one moment I was falling through the air and the next a pair of arms was helping guide me to the surface of the water. As soon as I broke free, I sucked in a big breath of air. My lungs were screaming from the lack of oxygen. As soon as I broke free and sucked in my oxygen, I was dragged back under. I struggled back up to the surface.

Strong arms were wrapped around me and helped haul me to the side. I crawled up into the grass and started coughing. I looked and there was a guy coughing and spitting out water right beside me. His back was bright red from where it must've hit the water. When my coughing subsided, I rolled over onto my back. I sucked in as much oxygen as possible, hating those few moments when I could barely breath.

"Come on," I heard a hoarse voice say. I turned my head just slightly to see the guy slowly standing up to his feet. He came out and offered me his hand. "We have to get out of here before he comes back."

I slowly clambered onto my feet with the guys help. I shivered as the cold night air blew around us. I was freezing after that little splash in the water. The guy was only standing in a pair of basketball shorts so he couldn't be feeling too much better. The guy came over and picked me up, one arm beneath my shoulders and the other beneath my knees. He started running. I shivered more as the cold air whipped against me faster.

The guy stopped running when we got to the house that the party was at. He carefully and quietly opened the back doors that I exited from and motioned for me to go in. I quietly walked in. He followed me and slid the door closed behind him. He grabbed my hand and led me through the party, carefully moving between all of the dancing bodies and trying not to them so they don't get wet. We finally made it through to the front entrance where he opened a door that revealed a staircase. He motioned for me to go up so I did. He followed behind and closed the door. I followed him silently all the way to the second floor and stared as the staircase went up another floor. He led me to a bedroom before closing the door.

I watched him disappear through a door and stood there. I heard the sound of running water and figured he must be taking a shower. I awkwardly stood in the middle of the floor, not wanting to sit down and get anything wet. I saw him walk back out only wrapped up in a towel but the water was still running.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Joshua. My friends call me Josh, but I'll allow you that privilege too. What's your name?" He said.
