7:00AM

As I slipped out of my bed and walked across the cold floorboards I squinted as I pulled open my curtains, I didn't feel as bad this morning. I Pulled my hair out of the now extremely messy bun, I brushed my brown hair so it rested nearly down to my waist. I slipped on black jeans and a pulled a nike grey hoodie over my head, tied up my tan combat boots and applied light makeup. It took me no longer than fifteen minutes to get ready.

Anna said she would give me a lift so there was no need to run for the bus. My Dad was still asleep so I tip-toed down stairs into my kitchen. I don't usually eat breakfast so I just shoved a fruit bar and a couple of unnecessary books in my backpack and hopped in Anna's mums car.

Anna talks about some party she went to last weekend but I just couldn't be bothered to listen. I knew she got frustrated when I didn't pay attention but I couldn't help it, her and I are completely different. She used to try and persuade me to go out with her but I don't see the point and eventually she just stopped asking. I have everything I need at home, food and the Internet. Luckily, she didn't notice I wasn't listening so I waved goodbye and headed to my first class, I sighed heavily, maths has never been my best subject. I drag through second and third class and join the usual group of friends I spend most of the time with.

'How's it going?' I asked as I merged into the small circle.

'Crap' said Chandler, rubbing his forehead,

'What's up with him?' I say looking at Ryan and Anna for answers,

'He got a D in biology' said Ryan, barely looking up from his phone.

To be honest, it wasn't a great surprise. Chandler hated Biology but his parents insisted him on taking it. The only good thing out of it was that he met his girlfriend Erica through it. None of us actually liked her but he was head over heels so we just dealt with it that he wasn't as free as he used to be.

'It's not even funny; I'm going to have to retake it, once again.' He mumbled.

I looked over at Anna who was staring at three boys by the lockers. She was locked on the shorter one, I went to pre-school with him, I was pretty sure his name was Mitch. I nudged Anna out of her Daydream. Ryan had obviously noticed her too as he grabbed her arm and pulled her over to them. I had no idea he knew them, he tended to keep himself to himself. I saw there mouths moving, the taller one said nothing, just simply smiled and shrugged, then turned his head to glance at me across the hallway. Shit. Shit. This is so awkward. I started walking away towards my locker, filling it with random junk, It was so messy that random bits of paper overfilled it and fell to the floor, I picked it all up and threw it back in and slammed the door shut. I quickly spun around to see that he was still watching me.

He looked at me like he had seen something different, something unique. I felt uncomfortable as I scuffed my shoes on the floor. We were stuck in a gaze as time ticked around us. He held on and on.. What was he searching for? I wasn't anything interesting... What was this going to be?
