I walked into the small house that's been my home for the last eighteen years.
The familiar scent of lavender filled my nose. My mother always used lavender scented plug-in air fresheners, and when she passed I just kept them in, occasionally buying some.
I put away the little groceries I could afford, with my salary I earned by working at Wal-Mart.
I cleaned up at much as I could, my feet dragging around, from my long day, my stress was so high anyway.
I trudged up to my room, and immediately fall asleep, my dream was odd. There was all pick fluff. Most would say, "Oh, look! Cotton candy!" but my imagination isn't that....optimistic. I see things that can hurt you...like fiber glass.
I sit in a chair, that just randomly appeared, and I just stare around at the pink fluff.
The pick seems to be getting more...suffocating, and darker. Eventually, I felt like I was being pushed and squeezed together buy a bunch of black fluff, and I scream, the fluff turning into what I thought it to be, fiber glass, and I feel the stinging as if a million little needles.
I jerk awake. I'm in my bed, and I look around. Making sure there was no black fluff.
I open the window, my skin tingling. The cool air feeling nice, and I look across to the other gray house, and I see a boy.
He has ebony hair, that hung in his face, and from what I could tell had dark colored eyes. I blink, realizing he was staring back at me now, and I pull away from my window. Even tho I still longed for the cool air.
I slipped down stairs, and opened the door, and sat on the porch, the air was writhing around me now, and it felt better then just being at the window. I stare out into the late fireflies, and sigh.
I wish I had more family. I bet that boy has all kinds of family that all love him.

I look across the widow again, my eyes searching as if the girl he saw would come back.
I heard a door open and closed, and the sound origonated from her house, so I'm guessing she went outside on her porch.
I went back to my bed, my mind filled with mixed thoughts of my family, and the girl with dark brown hair and what I could tell to be light blue eyes.I felt somthing roll on my arm, and I immediately jerk away, only to see its Luxi, my cat. I sigh, falling back down on my bed, thinking about the first day of school tomorrow. I will be a Junior, so its not very exciting...but its still school.
He drifted off to the thoughts of if he would see the mysterious new girl next door.

I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm, and when I turned off the obnoxious contraption, I heard bird's chirping outside. I got up and fumbled to the window, and I pulled back the curtains, allowing in the weak morning light.
I got ready at my own slow pace. Me waking up at 6:30 am and all I had the time, and was still completely ready for becoming a Sophmore at 7:30.
I walked out to the car I inherited and drove down to Cherokee High School, I got there at 7:50, and the day seemed to go by quickly and hazy. Trigonometry felt like a few seconds instead of an hour, and every other class the same. She hadn't eaten breakfast that morning, but wasn't hungry, so she didn't eat lunch either. When the day ended at three, she went straight home. She hadn't made any friends, didn't see any familiar faces in particular either. She felt so alone, but wouldn't tell anyone that. No one needed to know...
