Chapter 6

Max?!

Since when did he work here.

For those of you wondering max is the ex you want to forget but they keep coming into your life. I thought he was gonna for good but nope. Here we are meeting up again.

I held my menu up and hid my face with it. Harry started kicking my foot lightly. So I kicked him real hard so he would stop. I heard him whine and chuckled under the menu still in front of my face.

"Can I start you off with any drinks"

"Sprite with lemon" my muffled voice said.

Niall held his menu up similar to the way mine was. "What the fuck are you doing." While holding my finger on his lips I stated "Thats my ex and I'm trying not to make eye contact."

"So what shall I get you guys to eat" he scribbled down some gibberish and smiled at them. Luckily he didn't bother to look at me.

"Uhhh I'll have the chicken" I hesitated. "She will have the Peri-Peri Chicken and I'll have the Grilled Spachcock chicken with cooling beet root slaw. Oh and a piece of grilled or boiled corn. Preferably with butter." Niall said proudly backing me up.

"Peri for me" Harry said as it was a usual thing. I felt so out of place. Especially with this guy hovering over me.

"Alright let me take your menus" He said while reaching his arms out. Shit. I quickly grabbed a napkin and pretended I had some snot or a booger.

He walked away and I have never been so relieved in my life.

"What were you doing uh hiding in that menu Brook" Louis gave me a concerned yet strange look.

Niall chipped in and said "Oh thats her ex and she doesn't want to be seen around him so help her hide from him when he comes with the food."

"How would you know this mate" Zayn said while grabbing a napkin. "Magic" Niall did Jazz hands causing me to laugh.

Max came back with the drinks and I once again grabbed a napkin and covered my face. I decided to just go to the bathroom when he comes with the food.

Catching me off guard, Harry kicked me really hard this time. "OW, What the fuck man that hurt"

With concern in his eyes he started saying "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean that. I didn't know it was gonna be so hard Brooklyn really." I got up and decided this was the perfect time to walk and go to the bathroom.
