[15] Confused Feelings

 

            I watched in utter horror as Teddy greeted Victoire at the front door as Bill and Fleur made their way inside the Burrow, also being greeted by the family. I watched as my stomach churned and something boiled as Teddy kissed Victoire over and over again. As if they hadn’t seen each other in years… “Clary!” I heard my name being called as a hand appeared in my field of vision. I blinked a couple times as I looked over to see the twins staring at me from the floor as James lay on the couch across from us. My attention focused back on the twins looking up at me from the floor as they had a piece of paper on the table.

“What?” I asked slightly dazed, still trying my hardest not to look back at Teddy and Victoire’s faces glued together.

“The plan? We have to still think of the plan for tonight.” Libby said looking up at me questionably as I only nodded my head slightly. “What’s up with you Clary? You were just with us a moment ago.”

Lara turned her head slightly and frowned once she took notice of Victoire, our cousin, who had just entered the Weasley Burrow. “Oh I see...” Lara said quietly as Libby immediately turned towards where her sister was looking at.

“What?” she asked until she spotted the beautiful Veela in the living room, still hanging onto Teddy like a rag doll. “Oh…” The twins let out a sigh as they looked at each other, a smirk playing on both of their faces as they looked up at me.

“Don’t worry Clary,” Lara started.

“I’m sure you’re still the first in Teddy’s mind.” Libby finished as they both smiled up at me as a blush made its way across my cheeks as I realized what they were implying.

“W-What?!” I stuttered, “I-I don’t know what you two are talking about, Teddy is just greeting his girlfriend.”

The twins rolled their eyes at me as I felt my heart racing slightly as I looked down at them, “I think you do.” Lara said with a smile as I immediately looked back down at the little plan they were sketching up.

“L-Lets take a look at this plan you guys are drawing.” I said, quickly trying to change the topic of the subject. I don’t know why I always get like this, but whenever I see Victoire hanging around Teddy I just feel angry and sad. “As um you two were saying?”

 The two twins rolled their eyes at me as they looked around to make sure no adults were in the room, and Victoire was already too distracted with Teddy that she wouldn’t overhear anything. “Okay look we’ve figured this out, you want to see what’s really going on with Professor Charles right?” Lara asked as I nodded my head.

“Well we’ve figured that during dinner you sit next to him, now Scorp and Teddy probably won’t like this idea very much,” Libby stated as Lara finished her sentence.
