A Strong Regret

Lucy VS. Natsu

Natsu stomped down the halls of the new guild angrily with his rage radiating off of him.
He kicked down the Master's door and was greatly angered to see Master Makarov.
"Is it true? You know who made the guild suffer?" Natsu asked bitterly.
Makarov nodded slowly uneffected by Natsu's anger.
"Whoever the hell it was, we need revenge!" Natsu shouted angrily.
Master lifted his hand up and said, "this person we don't need to deal with... I've already talked with them. They won't be back and they've learned their lesson."
"WHOEVER DID THAT! PROBABLY BURNED DOWN LUCY'S APARTMENT TO! I'LL KILL THEM!" Natsu yelled with obvious rage in his tone.
"Not this person," Master said simply.
"Why? Who is this person?!" Natsu asked with pure disbelief.
"My child... if I tell you, promise not to do anything. Don't tell anyone. Or anything. Got it?" Master asked with a dangerous aura.
Natsu gulped and nodded, "yes master."
"It was..." Master Makarov gulped, still kinda debating weather or not to tell Natsu, "it was Lucy."
Silence...
Natsu blinked several times before processing it all, "L-Luce?"
Master nodded.
Natsu burst out of the doors of the guild and ran in the direction of Lucy's cent!
Mokarov couldn't even stop him.
'Luce...' he kept thinking, that's all he thought about, he didn't know what he was going to do but all he knew was that he needed her right now.

It took several hours and he followed Lucy's cent deep within the forest...
He had fought several beasts but didn't bat an eye lash and instantly beat it.
He didn't notice his feet hurting as he saw a little glimmer of blonde by the stream nearby.
"Luce?" He asked but his voice was threatening and low.
The blonde girl turned around and came face to face with her old best friend!
"N-Natsu!" Lucy gulped and flinched.
"I-I don't know what I'm supposed to do, if you were someone else I wouldn't hesitate to punch you, but your you! Your Lucy of Fairy Tail! I want to know why?" Natsu clenched his fist.
"You took something precious from me. I had to get revenge so I was going to take... something you love," Lucy looked down in shame holding back tears by biting the bottom of her lip.
"Well you did a good job at it," Natsu said bitterly and with a dark expression, "but just so you know... you were something I love."
Natsu turned around sharply and left Lucy standing there with a shocked look.
"Natsu I'm so sorry," Lucy said whimpering but thought since Natsu was so far away he didn't hear but because of his dragon slayer hearing he did.
'Luce?? What am I supposed to believe now?' Natsu thought as a hot tear rolls down his cheek.
He wipes it away and keeps walking with strong steps.
But inside he was dying.

Lucy stared at the last place Natsu had stood.
'He loved me?? Lucy you idiot why didn't you see it? Your smart! Why was that the only thing in your life you didn't know?' Lucy mentally told herself.
Her fists clenched and unclenched.

Then she fell to her knees thinking only one thing.

What have I done?
