Todays the day. December 9th. The day Nick comes back home from the marines that's if he comes back. He's been gone for 9 months and every day you thought to yourself is he alive? Your eyes would water up every time you thought about it. The thought about the love of your life dieing not only to protect you but a whole nation it was both heroic and sad. Then you remember the promise he made on March 18th. It was a sunny day and he took you to the boardwalk where you guys had your first date and your first kiss. You guys walked along the pier and held hands sharing embarrassing childhood stories. You guys went to play some arcade games and nick challenged you to a water gun race. You hear the gun shoot and you shoot the water in the clowns mouth trying not to look at nick's target so you don't get distracted. Then the ringer goes off "we have a winner" you look at the finish line and notice that your horse was about to cross it. You then hear nick jump up and shout "yeeeeessssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!". The game host gives nick a giant stuffed unicorn and your mouth then drops to the ground because if how cute and fluffy it was. He then rubs it in your face and laughs. You then push him away saying "fuck you asshole" he then chases after you and say " i love you to and i won this for you". You look at him and say "I'm still mad at you". He says "what if i buy you a corn dog and some pink lemonade". You look at him with the biggest smile he then wraps his arm around your waist and pulls you closer. At the end of the day on the beach during the sunset he pulls you in and kisses you and then says "i'm leaving for the marines tomorrow". You pull away not knowing what to do. He grabs your hand saying "you know I've always wanted this can you please be happy for me". You then say "if you're happy I'm happy". He kisses you on the shoulder and says " don't worry about me i'll come back i promise love always finds a way". You're then interrupted by the alarm you put to remind you of the time you go to the airport. You then arrive at the airport and see marines walking in and hugging their loved ones. You look around for nick and don't see him after a couple minutes of looking around you loose hope and you feel your eyes water and start to think "i lost the love of my life, my life will never be the same". You feel a tear fall and you wipe it away and make your way back to the car once you walk out the door you let it all out and the tears just fall and the memories of you to replay in your mind. You're then in someone's arms and are lifted if the ground. When back on the ground you turn to see nick and you hug him resting your head on his chest and start crying he hugs you and moves your face facing him he smiles and say "i told you love always finds a way".
