I leapt of Kethendra's back, landing on the forest floor. I unfurled my wings in an intimidating kind of way.I looked with my mind to see if there where any other humans in the area around the clearing , there where none.
Good.
Straightening up, I properly examined our souroundings. Huge trees towered around us, with massive branches creating a kind of roof over our heads, a small pond filled with trout also lay in the clearing.
That afternoon was spent catching fish, making shelters and filtering water.
That night was simply wonderful, Emma told us that she had water powers and that we could combine our powers to make us almost immune to our weaknesses, mine being water and hers being ice.
So we pressed our palms together and combined our powers. I then lit a small fire and coingered up some marshmallows and we roasted them over the fire. (I had a slight habit of setting fire to mine) while Kethendra cooked some fish. At one point, a young timberjack flew over to us, sensing that another Kethendra was nearby. We befriended her and she told us her name was Kafrilion and that her parents had been taken over by the alpha, after narowly escaping she had flew of only to find more destroyed villages and more dead dragons. The same alpha that conquered our village a few weeks ago. She asked if she could join us and we happily agreed, saying that if we wanted to defeat the alpha, we needed all the help we could get.
The next day, I awoke before the rest of us. Stretching, I went over to the pond, knelt down and flipped out 4 fish for breakfast. Laying them down on the food pile, I walked of into the woods. The trees grew taller and more close together here, making it significantly darker. After about 7 minutes of walking, I heard a high-pitched screech tear through the sky. one thought entered my head as I pressed my back aginst a nearby tree,
