Half and half

We ew

I can't believe he asked me that not one person has asked me since I've been here.
"My parents did experiments on me as a child, why are you here?" Zac looked at me with sorrow I hated that look but then when he realized he hadn't said anything he looked concerned.
" I don't like to talk about it really, but I feel we will become good friends, when I was a boy my mother died, I was about 3 months. My father was a scientist and my mom was a doctor. When she died my dad found out that I had hearing problems so he wanted to fix it." He stopped talking and pull his hair away from his ear, or should I say where his ear should be. Where Zacs ear is supposed to be is a metal box witch I assume helps him hear. We didn't really talk much after that just some small talk about why's it's like out today.

As we approached his room I stopped in front of mine. "This is sky and my room. And yours is the next one over." He looked at the numbers on the doors and found his he stopped and looked at me expectantly, then I realized he doesn't know how to unlock the door. "Finger scanner in the right side left pointer finger." He did as I said and sure enough the door flew open. I peered inside, his room was about two times the size of mine and the beds were bigger the bathroom had a shower and bath and they had shelves!
"so will I know who my room mates are?" I knew that he would be rooming with the three boys that he showed up with.
"I assume since there are three beds and three new boys, that you and the other two new boys will be rooming together." He nodded and me and continued looking around I don't  think we're gonna get to see everything today I'll have to show him tomorrow it's starting to get close to curfew.
"Um, zac I think I'll have o show you the rest of the place tomorrow it's getting close to curfew and you don't wanna be caught after it." He looked at me with curiosity.
"So I'll get to see you again?" He asked with puppy dog eyes. I nodded my head to let him know he would indeed be seeing me again with a grin I left his room and walked to mine,I unlocked the door and heard the familiar click of the door unlocking.
Sky wasn't in the room when I got in. I went to change in the bathroom, after doing my business in the washroom I desired to get an early sleep, I was tired and had a long day tomorrow.

I woke up to the sound of loud banging at my door, I swear if it's another surprise inspection I was going to kill Gary (the inspection guy).
As I unlocked the door and slide it slightly open I came face to face with a very scared looking zac. He had tears staining his cheeks and his eyes were red.
I opened my door and gestured for him to come in. Sky didn't come home last night, I'm guessing she's staying at Tyler's.
I turned to look at zac and he had made himself comfortable lying in my bed, I walked over to him and sat on the edge of the bed, the next thing I knew his arms were wrapped around my waist and his face was in my lap, his warm tears soaked my pyjama bottoms I shifted a little to get comfortable. "what happened?" After a couple of sniffles he raised his head to look at me."I had a nightmare and I didn't want the other boys to see me cry." I knew exactly what he was dreaming about we all had those dream once in awhile that brought us back to when we were being experimented on. I lay down next to him and stroke his back. He keeps his arms wrapped firmly around my waist, I place my head on his warm chest. we both slowly drift off in a peaceful sleep.

When I woke up I was unusually warm.i tired to roll over but I could not. I tried to move my legs and they were stuck too. I looked over my shoulder and saw zac, his arms held me in place like chains and our legs were tangled. I remembered the night before and just went back to sleep. He looked so peaceful and I was still tiered.

"BRIT!! Who is this!!!" I quickly sat up. Zacs arms tighten around my waist as he buries his head in my back, groaning.
"Sky this is zac from yesterday the guy I showed around his room is next door and he came over last night and we fell asleep." I hate lying to my best friend but I didn't want to tell her he was having nightmares. She knew I was lying I could tell by the look on her face she was both mad, confused and surprised. It was easy to read sky. She was like an open book.
Grumbling came from my said as sky and I continued to talk. Zac sat up and rubbed his eyes, he wasn't wearing a shirt! How had I not noticed this last night."Brit I'm just gonna go back to my room before the boys get up." I nodded in agreement, as zac went to leave he walked back over to me and hugged my I felt his lips near my ear as he whispered "thank you, hope we can do this again." He got up with a smirk and walked out of the room with no further goodbye. I look at the clock and it's only 6:30am what was I thinking. I led back down and got comfortable the next thing I know the blankets gone. I end up on the floor from trying to retrieve it.
I look up to see sky laughing hysterically at me as I grumble about me falling off the bed.
Today was gonna be a long day.
I grabbed my list of things I had to do today.
-Laundry
-clean room
-sort old cloths
-go pick up new ones
-show zac around
-retrieve medication
-SLEEP

As I look at the list I realize I probably won't get all this done today and decide that I can take a nap for a little bit.
I grab my blanket from a still laughing sky and craw back in to the heat pod I call my bed.

As I roll over after my well deserved nap my bed feels warmer the usual. I don't think anything of it I look at the clock and relize its already 3:26pm."HOW DID I SLEEP THAT LONG!" I scream to myself I run to my dress and grab a dress as much as I hated dress I was grabbing one. I grabbed my red sundress that was fun and happy but also really comfortable. As I go to take off my legging I hear a noise I turn around to not one but all three new boys in my room and zac in my bed!
"what are you doing in here,how did you get in!" They all looked at each other and zac seemed to be the main point of attention.
"Well,you see the boys and I don't know anyone else, we got bored came here sky let us in then left."oh I was going to kill sky I can't believe she let them in here without waking me up! I looked over at zac as he mouthed things to his friends I didn't have time for this I rushed into the bathroom and changed. I put my hair in a pony tail and exited the bathroom to find only zac in the room. "I need to tell you something. I kinda lied about what was wrong with me." I look at him with anger and frustration and walked out of the room too the pharmacy to get my medication I heard the door open after me as I walked as fast as I could to my destination.
"Sky look, I love you!"
As I hear zac say this I stop abruptly in my steps and turn around.
"You know my name not my story! There is no way you love me!" I turn back around and continue walking down the metal halls. "Sky you just don't understand, just let me explain!" I finally make it to the pharmacy and open and shut the door behind me knowing zac won't follow me any further. What does the mean he loves me I've known him for a day.
