I run down the stairs of the pack house, taking two at a time, my body filled with excitement. Today was the day! Today, I was enrolling into Alpha Academy. It was a esteem school that you can only be accepted into if you are the child of an Alpha.
And that I was- my father was Alpha Theodore of the Blood Moon Pack, and not to brag but it also happened to be the highest ranked pack in all of America.
I ran into the kitchen to see my father chewing on a chocolate chip muffin while talking to his Beta, Quinn.
"Daddy!" I ran up to him, enveloping myself in the warm arms that he held out to me. In his embrace, I always felt safe. "I'm leaving today!" But, the feeling was bittersweet.
I was so excited to be having some freedom, to get away from the constant body guards that my father insisted I needed to ensure my safely. But it pained me to think of being away from my only family and thrown into the world of strangers.
I feel a pang of guilt in my chest when I see his eyes sadden. "I know, Princess. The car will be here soon to take you to school." He kissed my hair and I could sense some sadness in his voice but I knew that this was something that I needed to do, I had to get out there and learn how to be social enough to be a good Alpha in the future.
Not that long after I had started eating a muffin of my own, I heard a car honk out front of the house. I jumped up, kissing my father's cheek once more before running out the door and climbing into my ride.
The car ride took about 2 hours and every minute of it seemed to drag on, the radio not comforting me at all. I couldn't wait to arrive and meet all the new people, I didn't know what to expect.
I immediately sat up straighter when I smelled the scent of a large group of wolves. I gazed out the window and saw that we were pulling into a large parking lot that was full of teenagers that were around my age. Anyone could tell easily that they were all Alpha bloods because of the sense of power they gave off.
I quickly stepped out of the car when it stopped and looked around, letting my eyes adjust to the sunlight that was now assaulting me after being in a dark car for so long. I took in the scent of all the new wolves, though one stood out to me.
It seemed to call to my wolf in a way. A way that made her whine in anticipation. What the hell is going on? I asked myself, confused by her actions.
'Go find it you dumb shit.' My wolf told me, her bad temper showing through.
'Don't call me that. I'll find it as soon as I can!' I snarl back.
"Miss? I have your bags, will you please accompany me to find your room?" I looked back at my driver and nodded. The smell would have to wait.
After a short time, and a few wrong turns later, we walked up to a room in my dorm. Holding the key I was given, I slid it into the lock of the mahogany door and walked in. Gasping at the beauty before me, I glanced around the large room that I would be calling my own. The walls were painted a light mauve colour that I just adored and had white, crown moulding.
It had a queen sized bed against one wall that had elegant white comforter, adorned with black outlines of flowers. I walked in, sinking my toes into a fuzzy, mauve rug, loving how it reminded me of a rug that was on my floor at home.
A white night stand stood beside the bed, a crystal vase sitting on top of it. Lastly, there is a white, wooden dresser adjacent to it on the wall near the foot of the bed. I nodded at the driver to place my bags on the floor near the door and thanked him before dismissing him so that I could unpack.
