I stare at Adrian in disbelief, my hand clasped over the new mark on my neck.

"Did you just mark me?" My voice is barely a whisper as the situation sinks into my mind.

"I-I.." Adrian seemed to have just as shocked as an expression plastered on his face as mine.

"I can't believe you!" The anger builds in me at how he just thought that he could mark me without my consent.

I climb off of his lap and head straight for the door, my hand still on my neck. I opened the door and all but run out of his room, his voice pleading me to wait cut off when I slam the door.

I head down a floor quickly to my room, fumbling with the key a few times before bursting through the door.

I walk straight to my bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror. Wow I look terrible. I gazed at my reflection and taking everything in from my disheveled blonde locks to the red crescent moon carved into my neck. It still looked agitated and there was now blood stained on my shirt.

That bastard! I growl to myself, the anger still coursing through me, though it is short lived because my wolf is lazy with happiness.

'Don't call our mate that. He was only marking us to show everyone that we are taken. He was showing that he cares.' She retorts, clearly not happy with me.

I don't care. I didn't give him permission to mark me. I cut off our conversation after that and go to cleaning myself up.

After brushing my hair in a way that it covers my neck and changing my shirt, I remember that I have school today and check the time. 1:45 Shit! Tracking skills is in 5 minutes!

I hurry to grab my school bag from it's place near the front door, I run out of the room only to crash into the last person I want to see.

"Soph-" I cut him off by turning and running away, glad to have some way out of the situation.

I pick up my pace the second I am outside and head straight for the change rooms.

I change into the uncomfortable gym shorts and t-shirt, putting my hair up as I head over to the group surrounding Ben.

I ignore the looks and whispers that start as soon as I join them. Well, I guess everyone knows now.

"Miss Winters, how nice of to join us. Though, you do realize that skipping class and being late is not tolerated." Ben's voice is like a slap to the wrist, scolding but not harsh.

"Yes, I am sorry Ben. Some... Things happened earlier that caused me to be unable to join class." I keep my voice calm, not wanting to sound weak anymore. I was tired of trying to hide my ranking.

"Whatever the excuse, it still isn't tolerated. Laps. Now." He points off in the direction of the track that surrounds the training field.

"Yes, Sir." I jog off to the track, keeping up a light jog since I don't know how long Ben will make me run for.

A few minutes into the running, I see Adrian walk over to Ben. Though his eyes are trained on me until Ben waves a hand infront of his face. They talk for a minute before Adrian starts to jog on the track aswell.

Why do the gods hate me? I sigh in defeat. No matter what I do, nothing goes as I plan.

"Sophia. Wait up." I hear Adrian calling to me but I decide to ignore him and just continue on my run. But, to my displeasure, my mate isn't so quick to let it go.

"Sophia." I feel a hand take hold of my upper-arm. I spin around to face Adrian, my anger towards him resurfacing when I see that apologetic look in his eyes.
