"I swear Noriko, now you're just being paranoid. The ghost hunters can do this on their own. There isn't any monster-like activity, there's no reason for me to be there." "I know, but Ayami's been asking for you to come, and I'd feel a lot more comfortable with you there to keep an eye on her." She explained desperation evident in her voice.
I sighed bringing the phone away from my mouth as I did so. If I went there, there was a chance that I'd miss a few requests. If I didn't go, Ayami would be pretty upset, plus, I had been looking to find a company that would take me in. This could be my chance!
"Fine, but I can't promise that I'll be of much help." I responded with slight hesitation. "Thank you so much! I'm sure Ayami will happy to see you. When will you arrive?" She asked. "In a few hours. It's not like I have anything better to do anyways." "Thank you- *CRASH*" "What in the world was that?" I asked with a tick mark. Noriko laughed nervously. "That would be the ghost hunters we hired." "Great."
Time skip brought to you by La-La the pink llama ghost.
I rolled one of my many black work trucks into Noriko's drive way and hopped out of the drivers seat bringing some of my epuipment with me.
"*sigh* This is just great. Why did I agree to coming here again?" I asked looking up at sky.
I slowly walked to the doorway taking everything in. "Man, I've only been gone for a month or so, but it feels like it's been forever since I've come here.
After a few more minutes of looking around, I knocked the door. It took a few minutes, but Noriko soon opened the door.
"Pearl-chan! I didn't think you'd come!" She had the biggest smile on her face.
I giggled a bit. "Of course I'm here! I don't just ignore a call for help!"
She gave me a quick hug before calling Ayami to the room. "Ayami! Pearl-chan is here!" It took mere seconds for her to make it to the room we were in.
She turned a corner and jumped onto me as I spun her around in my arms. Noriko smiled at the reunion and took a step back.
"I missed you sooooooooo much!" She exclaimed in delight. (Me: I know that they're being a bit ooc, but it'll get better, I promise)
"I missed you too." I giggled.
"Uhhh, this is really cute and all, but who is she?" I turned my head around and saw a group of people, several I think, standing there with a few smiles on their faces.
"Ah. You must be the ghost hunters Noriko hired." I smiled at them with slight distrust in my eyes.
"Yes, that would be us." A boy of about 17 or 18 years
confirmed. He looked kinda goth in my opinion, with all the black he was wearing."And who might you be?" A woman with long red hair asked. She looks pretty stuck up to me.
"Pearl Manami, amatuer medium and trained monster hunter at your service." I looked at their shocked and curious faces smugly. This is gonna be fun.
A/N: Heyyyyyy, sorry for the wait. I know that at least one of you was waiting for this chapter. Sorry it's short, but I couldn't think of a better ending. Thanks for reading!
