"How are you holding up?" Rosalie's mother asked.

Rosalie sighed and shrugged before biting into the juicy red apple in her hand.

"I know I've been busy at the asylum and not paying much attention to you, but I want to let you know I love you." Her mother said.

Rosalie rolled her eyes and shrugged again.

"I'm serious Rose." She said with a stern but caring the voice.

"O-o-o-o-oka-ay." Rosalie said then she walked away, up to her room.

"Rose. Get back here." Her mother said.

Rosalie ignored her mother and shut the door. She flopped on her bed and stared at her plain white ceiling. Her black and blue hair pooling around her face and shoulders. Her eyes fluttered shut and her small hands rested on her stomach.

"Rosalie! Guess what!" Laken's voice rang through Rosalie's half-sleep.

"Hmmm?" Rosalie asked, sitting up and opening her eyes.

"So. You know Mindy? Well she just fell off a building and died. Someone pushed her because the words 'bleeding rose.' Were written with her blood on the ground. Weird huh?" Laken said, playing with her blonde curls.

Rosalie stared at her, her jaw open. Bleeding rose. Rosalie couldn't breathe. She just stared at Laken as black spots danced before her vision.

"Rose. You okay?" Laken asked.

Rosalie locked her lips and slowly nodded. Dustin was right. Someone was coming after her.

Laken raised an eyebrow. "Yah. I don't believe you." Laken said slowly.

"I-I-i-I'm-m f-f-f-fi-i-ne." Rosalie stuttered.

Laken raised both eyebrows and sighed. "Okaaaay." She said.

.•*^*•.

Dustin yelled in agony. "They're going to kill her. You don't understand!" He yelled. His rose. His beautiful bleeding rose was going to die of he wasn't able to help her. He had to warn her. He had to. He had to get out of this cell. He squeezed his head as the words started taking over his thoughts.

Behind the purple curtain. Around the corner. Trees of gold. Six feet below the circus.

He wrote the same words over his forearms and wrists. He couldn't help it. He wanted to stop. He wanted so hard just to stop.

Run away Dustin. Save yourself from this pain. Rosalie will bleed. She is the bleeding rose.

He wrote uncontrollably. His words were not his own. He bit his lip as hot tears fell down his cheeks and onto his arms.

So much pain. So much blood. Are you prepared for this? Your heart will back. Run away while you still have a chance.

Dustin threw the marker at the wall and stared at it in horror. He had to stay. He had to protect Rosalie. She had no idea what would happen. He did. He knew.

"Let me see Rosalie." He said, staring straight into one of the security cameras where workers watched him in horror. "Let. Me. See. Her." He said slowly.

.•*^*•.

"Rosalie? Rosalie!" Rosalie's mother yelled as she ran through the door.

Rosalie walked down stairs confused and a bit scared.

Her mother ran to her and wrapped her in a hug. "Thank heavens you're okay." She sighed.

Rosalie pulled away from her mother and gave her a questioning look.

"That boy. Dustin. He's been talking crazy about you bleeding and...in just glad you're alright." Her mother said in a concerned tone.

Rosalie looked at her mother and grabbed the whiteboard from the counter.

"What did he say?" She wrote.

Her mother sighed. "He wants to see you. Something about, we don't understand and you need to be protected." She said reluctantly.

"Let me see him, mother." Rosalie wrote with a serious expression.

"I can't." Her mother said.

Rosalie underlined her sentence and pointed at it for emphasis.

Her mother sighed. "One last time." She said.

Rosalie grinned. She was back in business.
