~~One month after sorting~~
Ginny got up and put on her uniform. She slid her feet into her shoes, grabbed her bag and went downstairs. She practically ran into the Great Hall, but when she got to the hall outside she slammed into some one.
He wrinkled his nose and said,
"You filthy blood traitor!! These are new robes! How dare you filth them with your dirty blood." She stared in disbelief at this bafoon. She finally placed the name. Draco Malfoy. Slytherin. Pureblood family.
"I'm so sorry your royal highness. Next time watch where your going." Ginny replied her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Draco, is this blood traitor bothering you?" Ginny knew that sickly sweet voice.
"If so, I know just how to get ride of her and her mudblood friend." Lucy said pointing over my shoulder. At Hermione. Ginny wasn't friends with Hermione, but that was a step to far on her sisters part. Ginny lunged at her and her fingers grasped Lucy's collar.
"What did you just call Hermione?" Ginny asked in a deathly calm voice. She was shaking with fury. Lucy was trying to pry Her fingers off. Ginny threw her down and told her,
"Leave. Us. Alone." She said backing her into a wall.
"And if I hear you call anyone, anyone, that foul, sick, evil name, you will will face much more than this." Ginny told her and then punched her square in the face. She took Hermione's hand and led her away from her pathetic accuse of a sister.
"Oh and by the way, Malfoy? Same goes for you, you ferret." She told him. He had fear in his eyes as he took her crying sister to the hospital wing.
"Ginny, you shouldn't have done that!! You could get expelled!!" Hermione told her and sniffed.
"I don't care!! She deserves to be put in her place. She had no right calling you that. I don't care if I barely know you, your the smartest witch in our classes and don't deserve to be treated like that." She told Hermione.
"I'd love to be friends though." Ginny said and stuck out her hand. She didn't shake it, instead she pulled me into a hug. Ginny hugged her back and then they went to the Great Hall for breakfast.
Classes were the same as always, but half-way through Transfiguration, Snape called McGonagall, Malfoy, and Ginny to the hospital wing. She gave Harry a sharp look and he nodded. Ginny had told him about what happened and She knew that this was about her little explosion.
We entered the hospital wing and Lucy started moaning in pain. Such a fake, Ginny thought to herself bitterly. Malfoy repeated the story and made it sound like Ginny attacked Lucy out of no where.
"Is this true Miss. Weasley?" McGonagall asked.
"No!! I bumped into Malfoy and he called me a blood-traitor and then Lucy called me one and called Hermione a- a-" Ginny couldn't bring herself to say the name.
"A what Miss. Weasley?" McGonagall pressed.
    "A mudblood." I hissed.
"And then I defended my friend. I feel like my actions were absolutely appropriate for the situation. I grabbed Lucy's collar and then hit her."
"I say she gets expelled for this certain act. Miss. Weasley could have been seriously injured." Snape said. Ginny glared at him and McGonagall spoke up.
"That will not be necessary, Severus. I believe that Miss. Weasley was standing up for her friend. But, for hurting a student, 30 points will be taken off of Gryffindor and she will serve a week worth of detentions with me. And I am taking ten points off of Slytherin from Mr. Malfoy for starting the fight and fifteen off Miss. Weasley for called a student that name." With that Professor McGonagall walked briskly out and Malfoy and Ginny went to their next class's.
Ginny told Harry and Hermione about it and Hermione was so happy Ginny wasn't expelled.
"It's cool Hermione. They lost twenty-five points and we lost thirty." Ginny assured her when she gave her a bone-crushing hug.  They all smiled and went to the Great Hall for dinner.
