"Aqualad to Robin, I need your help," Kaldur'ahm sent to his comrade.

"Sure thing. What's up?" Robin replied as he plopped down on his bed.

"My friend from Atlantis, Garth, has left to go on a mission. Poseidons needs serious help in rebuilding from that attack and I'm the best candidate. I need you to lead the next few missions." Aqualad spoke with haste, as if he was in a hurry.

"Yeah, no problem. We haven't had a mission in a while and you would be a huge help. Say, is Aquaman also going back?" Robin sprawled onto his back and stared at the ceiling.

"He's decided to stay back to help and protect the queen as well as her child." Kal shuts his door so quickly it sent tremors through the walls.

"Got it. You can count on me."

"Robin, tonight was unacceptable. I know it was your first task as leader, but it was extremely disappointing. You failed not only the mission, but your team as well." Batman was motionless, but Robin could tell he was furious and let down.

"I know. It's just that I panicked a-" Robin tried to explain.

"That's unacceptable and you know it. As a leader, you cannot afford to panic. Now, the Shadows are one step ahead of us and we are falling behind." Batman interrupted sternly.

"It was my first time as leader, can't you cut me some slack?" Robin yelled out. He was so tired and just bottled up and angry at himself.

"No, I can't because as a leader you don't get to slack off." Batman growled to his ward.

"Well, if I'm not a good leader, then maybe I should just quit! Then nobody can say that I don't get to slack off because I'll just be a normal citizen that can slack off and not play hero!" Robin yelled back in Batman's face.

Batman stood there, shocked at what he protégè had just stated.

Robin glared up at his now-former-mentor before calmly striding to his room to pack up.

Robin left all his suits but the one he was wearing behind. He brought his utility belt as well as all his weapons (minus the batarangs). He grabbed some money and left the Wayne Manor-his second home.

Wandering the streets into town after town, Robin quickly found places to help him make a new suit as well as forge replacements for the batarangs. He decided to call them birdarangs and, not to brag, but he thought they were totally asterous.

After roughly eight or nine towns later, Robin came across a nice little town that held a certain level of hospitality as well as crime rate.

So after wandering for days, Dick Grayson (AKA Robin) settled down in Jump City.

Robin tightened his grip on his birdarang and laughed before throwing it at the feet of a thief. As his laugh echoed through the alley, his weapon exploded and sent the thief down to the ground.

"Drop the money and we can do this the easy way." Robin ordered as he stepped through the smoke.

"Hey wait aren't you supposed to be wearing-" the thief asked with confusion.

"I decided to change my wardrobe." Robin said easily.

"But where's-"

"Just moved here. I work alone now, too." Robin said with a stone exterior.

"Now stop changing the subject and-" an explosion cut him off.

Robin whipped around to face the direction the explosion came from. "You got lucky. I'll get you later." He growled to the criminal before running towards the noise.

As he neared, he noticed a girl destroying things. She wore strange clothes and had a weird head thing. On top of that, her eyes glowed a furious green.

Throwing down a ring of smoke bombs, Robin jumped into the fight.

The girl's name was Starfire and she was simply scared and confused. She turned out to be the sweetest girl ever and Robin's best friend. They attempted dating, but it didn't work out so they decided to remain friends.

Another new friend was a teen who had helped Robin in befriending the girl. His name was Cyborg and he was half metal.

Cyborg's best friend is Beast Boy, a green teen who could shapeshift. He also appeared on that day to help Robin.

And last but not least, Raven, the half demon girl who demonstrated amazing power and value throughout their adventures. She was the reason why they became friends with Starfire and not enemies.

This is Robin's new team.

And he will never leave them.

Hello! I know this moved quickly and had many skips, but I wanted this to be a simple introduction.

Hopefully, future chapters will be longer and more satisfying.

Any criticism is greatly appreciated (just don't be rude about it).

Cata, out.
