Titans Tower
Jump City
11:32"Titans, trouble!" Robin called out as the alarm went off in Titans' Tower.
"There's a man holding hostages at the edge of Jump City. It seems that he's stolen something and was chased here before taking hostages to get the people off his back." Robin reported to the Titans as they all prepared to leave.
After leaping rooftop to rooftop, Robin heard shouts and fighting about three blocks away.
"C'mon, Titans, we gotta hurry up!" Robin urged. They closed in and noticed a man in black fighting a team while holding four school children hostage.
"Titans, go help the other team!" Robin ordered.
"What about you?" Cyborg asked as the other three charged ahead.
"I'm going for that briefcase." Robin replied. He shot his grappling hook into the side of a building before swinging down to reach for the briefcase.
He grabbed it right as someone else flashed by. "Hah! Missed!" Robin tainted as he landed onto the ground.
"Hey, you know your briefcase is in my hand so you can just give up now." Robin told the thief.
Robin laughed (the first time in a while. He just felt happy for some reason) And dropped smoke bombs and tied up the man.
As the smoke cleared, the other Titans stood beside him and he held up the briefcase. "This yours?" He asked the other team-but they were gone.
Suddenly, a voice sang out. "Actually, it's our friend's and we'd like it back."
Right as the voice stopped, someone ran up and took the suitcase before Robin could blink.
"Hey, we just did you a favor. Shouldn't we be allowed to at least see you guys?" Beast Boy complained.
A few moments passed and a disturbance in the air cleared as the other team came into view.
Robin fell backwards and Cyborg caught him. "No..." he whispered.
The boy who held the briefcase dropped it, but it quickly floated back up as someone caught it with telekinesis.
The other boy was the first to speak. "Rob?"

"Robin, you know these people?" Raven asked quietly.
Robin stumbled to his feet and brushed himself off lightly. "You could say that. They were my old team." Robin mumbled back.
"Your old what?!" Beast Boy and Cyborg cried out in surprise.
"Before I came here I worked with my mentor. My friends also had mentors and they were part of an organization that fought crime. We wanted to join, but ended up bring just a protégè version of them. I had a disagreement with my mentor and ended up quitting." Robin said with an empty voice. "Honestly, it doesn't matter. I didn't think I'd ever cross paths with them again, though."
"Wait, you quit?" Artemis asked, "Batman said you were sent on a long term mission!"
"Don't," Robin snarled, "say his name." The Titans and the other team took a step back. Neither side had ever seen Robin this angry.
"I'm taking a trip to Mount Justice." Robin muttered before dropping a smoke bomb and running off.
"Man, I hate it when he does his ninja thing-Ow! What was that for, Artemis?"

Robin revved up his r-cycle and sped off to Mount Justice to set things straight.
Upon his arrival, he hid the r-cycle in some bushes before striding up to the zeta-tube. "Identified: B-01 Robin."
As he walked into the cave, he saw many faces staring at him. Only one face stood out.
Batman.
Shocked expressions flashed at him and Batman's was also filled with concern.
"Robin?" His former mentor said.
"I had a great time completing my 'long term mission', Batman," Robin glared, "maybe I could get another one to keep me occupied."
"I did what I thought was best for the team."
"Whatever, I came here for one thing, and one thing only. I didn't come here for a mission and I most definitely did not come here to make conversation. I wanted to make it clear that Jump City is mine. I have it protected and I have young heroes who will help me if anything extreme comes. I don't want the League interfering and I don't want any visits either."
After his short monologue, Robin looks into his father figure's eyes challengingly.
"What can a group of teens do that the Justice League can't?" A voice questioned from behind Robin.
Robin glanced back to see Roy along with the rest of the team. He notices the Titans behind them and feels frustration building up. He was always treated like a little kid and now that he was seventeen and the rest of his friends were past teenage years (Connor is mentally three years older), he was still treated like a minor.
"You have no idea. Just stay out of my way and we'll get along just fine." He said curtly.
"Titans, let's go- and remember when I said that you guys could come along? No because I didn't." Robin hissed with anger.
His team just nodded in acknowledgement. They were still shocked and needed time to think.

After arriving Titans' Tower, Robin immediately went to his room without a word.
The Titans looked at each other with worry, but knew better than to disturb Robin.
Their leader was in a terrible mood and the Titans had never seen it before.
It scared them.

While Robin camped out in his room, he began to think. The crime rates have been going down and the Titans were pretty well equipped with backup. Robin needed time off; he needed a long term mission.
He immediately found a task, but it was difficult and he would need a small team-or perhaps a trio.
The more he thought, the more appealing his mission sounded despite the danger.
Quickly making up his mind, he dialed up a number.
"Robin to Kid Flash and Red Arrow. I have a mission that I wish to do with you two.
"Find and bring Deathstroke to justice."
With that, Robin hung up and went to his closet. His usual suits were hung up in a neat row, but what he needed would be in a silver briefcase locked within.
His first time opening it in years.
He pulled out his first Robin suit and suited up.
