The tv cuts out and turns to static for a minute or so. A man comes on the TV and announces himself as the director of the government's astronomy sector. The first words he says are this world is coming to an end. He continues to announce abiut a gigantic astroid the size of texas hitting earth in a month from tomorrow . Casey a 13 year old Oklahoman thinks it's a joke and call his friend lizzy to see if she saw it to her first response is "dude did you see that on the TV about the end of the world. Casey says "ya I was just calling to make sure I wasn't seeing things." "I will be right over" lizzy says. Ten to twenty minutes later there is a massive commotion in the street about the end of the world. Casey spots lizzy down the street and signals her to run so that she doesn't get sucked into the commotion. She gets to Casey's house and pauses to catch her breath. She turns to Casey and says "what do you want to do for your last month alive." He looks over to her and says "I want to spend the with my friends and family what about you?" She stares up at him and says "I want to go do something I have never done before ." Casey was abiut to ask like what when he heard a loud bang. He looked to the crowd now all lying on the ground dead with 3rd degree burns covering all of their body. At that point Casey realized that what killed them was a manhole that the crowd had been standing over. As Casey walked over to the manhole he felt the warmth of the steam from where he was standing. It felt like he was standing right next to a fire and that's from about 2 yards away. Casey looked back at lizzy and said "it's already happening."
