Casey and lizzy start walking around to see if the same thing that happened to the crowd happened to other people when it started to rain. The rain wasn't normal rain it was green and acidic. Casey and lizzy start to see their skin burning. They ran to cover and wiped of the rest of the rain carefully with their shirts and then looked around to find that everyone was melting away. Blood filled the streets and screaming was heard throughout the town. When the rain stopped Casey decided to see what had happened. As he looked around all he could see was damaged houses and the blood filled streets around him. The air was tainted by a mix of chemicals and the smell of death. He signaled lizzy to go over to him. Neither on of them could talk all they could think about is how they were the lucky one and they could have died. All of the sudden a loud Crack broke the silence. The acid rain had hollowed out the cement supporting the road and the road was going to calapse under them. Then another much louder Crack echoed through the streets. Casey looked back and saw that there was no longer a street a couple yards away and it was getting closer. Casey said one word "run." Lizzy didn't here him she stood in shock watching the street fall he grabbed her arm but she didn't budge. Then she did something that Casey will never forget. She pushed him away to the sidewalk which somehow wasn't caved in. When Casey looked back at lizzy she was smiling at him then just like that the road caved in under her and she was gone. When Casey went to examine the hole he found her with the same smile on her face but with a sharp spike straight through her chest. His best friend had died while saving him. When he got to his house where the street hadn't caved in but was in pretty bad shape he had completely covered his face with a mix of dust from the caved in street a couple blocks away and tears from losing lizzy. When he walked in the door he realized two things one everyone in his family had died by the acid rain and two he was bleeding from when he got hit by the rain but somehow it was on his leg. Casey looked at the wound and noticed that it went straight through his leg. He was in pain but not from his wound he was in pain because he had lost his best friend and his family in one day. Casey was truly alone.
