I hear the sound of buzzing coming from somewhere around me. Shit. It's 7:20 I overslept. I quickly get dressed and I decided to skip breakfast. I go to Starbucks and grab something there. I still have ten minutes to spare so I sit under my locker and go over my notes from yesterday. I grab my textbooks and head to class.

"Hey Bea!" I hear someone yelling my name. I turn around and see the tattooed curly haired boy.

"Hi Harry." I say calmly. Why is he here so early or even talking to me?

"Are you busy today during lunch?" He ask showing almost no emotion. Why does he care? What do I say? I struggle to come up with an answer so I just say anything.

"N-no I'm not w-why?" I stutter. I see him smile a bit but he quickly notices what he's doing and answers me.

"Cool and I want to get to know you. Meet me here at lunch." He says and walks off to class. Why didn't he just tell me this in second period? Oh well. I head to my class and sit through about an hour of boring topics. My classes go by pretty fast and it's lunch time. I'm so nervous now. My teacher assigned me Harry to be partners and now he wants to talk. I'll just play it cool. Why am I so nervous? I walk over to my locker and see him waiting there for me.

"Hey." I shyly say.

"Hi follow me." He leads me to this area by the baseball field not many people are here. I wonder what he wants to talk about? Okay I need to relax. He leads me to this place where there's a baseball field and some concrete bleachers in front of it. Not much people are around so I guess it's a good place to talk. We take a seat and it's quiet for a few minutes.

"So," he begins to say, "how are you liking this school?"

"It's okay. It's not the best but it's pretty decent. The classes are easy but just a lot of work."

"That's good. When did you move here?" He ask.

"I moved here like at the beginning of summer. You probably didn't see much of me though because I kind of stayed home most of the summer trying to get my summer assignments done for the ap classes." I say. I wonder why he's asking so many questions? I don't mind but it's weird.

"Why did you move here?" He seems very curious to know every detail about me.

"Well after my dad passed away, my mom and I wanted a fresh start in a new place. So we moved here and she was hired at pretty good place that pays well so yeah." I answer.

"I'm sorry for your loss." He says quietly.

"It's no big deal. He wasn't a good dad to begin with. My mom and him would practically always argue. When they weren't arguing he was off at some bar getting drunk somewhere. He didn't pay much attention to me though." I muster. I notice the expression in his face changes and his jaw begins to clench. His fist begin to ball in his lap. He seems mad?

"How could someone treat their wife and daughter like that? A father is supposed to take care of his family! Not treat them like crap!" He's fuming. I don't know what to do so I try to somehow calm him down.

"Harry it's fine. That was in the past. My mom and I are trying to live past all the hurt he's caused us and try to move on from it." I'm realizing that I'm now rubbing his back in little circles trying to calm him. It works somehow and he shakes me off.

"Harry are you okay? You seem a bit worked up at what I mentioned." I'm worried. I don't want to trigger anything. He looks at me and his face softens.

"It's a long story. Can w-we talk about this some other time?" He asks. I simply nod and with that the bell rings and I head to my class. The rest of the day goes by quickly and I can't seem to get Harry out of my head. I take a shower and jump into bed and drift off to sleep. I get ready for my usual school day. First period is slow but finally ends. I walk into my next period and get ready for whatever we're learning today. It's already half into the period and Harry hasn't shown up. Why do I care? The day goes by quick and I didn't see Harry at all today.

When I get home I don't see my mom anywhere in the house. So I decide to grab a quick snack and get a head start on my homework since I have no other plans.  I soon finish that up so I go downstairs to go watch some Netflix. I browse through the tv shows and movies and I settle for Friends. I begin to drift off to sleep and I wake up to my mom telling me to shut off the tv and head to my room. It's 1:00 am, I don't even remember falling asleep. I sleep through the night.

I wake up to the sound of buzzing. I know it's not my alarm because it's Saturday and I have no plans. I realize it's my phone and see that I have a few messages two from Dylan and one from Jess.

Jess: hey Bea, don't make any plans tonight. We're going to go to a party. I'll pick you up around 9.

A party? I have to ask my mom. But I most likely can go. I check to see what Dylan texted me.

Dylan: hey Jess what are you doing? (:
Dylan: are you going to the party tonight? I hope to see you there.

I don't reply and I head downstairs. I greet my mom and grab a stack of pancakes and some eggs.

"Hey mom can I go out tonight?" I ask.

"Out? Hmm with who and where?" She plays.

"With Jess and some other friends at a party." I answer.

"Sure go ahead have fun. The latest you can be out is 3:00 am. Please be safe." She winks. I groan and she starts laughing. I knew exactly what she meant by be safe. It's not like I'm going to be having sex at the party. None of these guys interest me. I'm not a virgin but I'm not some girl who has sex with anybody. I check the time it's barely 12:00 pm. I decide to watch some tv and text Jess saying I can go.
