I wandered aimessly at the forest. There was just something about the forest and its creatures that made me feel safe. After all I had been born here, out of a falling star during darkness.

It is true that our eyes gave us away. One was cyan and the other changed depending on our main source of elemental power or you could say our Estaria.

Tattoos or clan marks covered all of our bodies as well. In my case I had different star patterns as well as flowers covering my body. Oh, but I should not forget the wings on my back that nobody had ever seen in this land. After all, we were not supposed to be able to fly or anything of the sort.

"Lirium!" someone shouted distantly.

I turned around and found myself facing a girl with white hair and yellow markings on her skin.

"Hello, Dahlia" I answered.

"We should get going the festival is about to start!" she said.

I nodded.

I stared at a nearby lake for a moment before going. My changing eye never deciding on a color and my hair black as night shining in the reflection of the water. I smiled back at myself and then followed Dahlia.

Floating lanterns illuminated the forest and the faeries and forest folk danced around the small fire flowers. My eye changed color once again and made me able to see better in the dark.

"Your eye just changed color," said Dahlia.

"I know it never stops changing color for some reason," I said.

Dahlia and I found ourselves enjoying the festival. The music was relaxing and everyone kept dancing. Until...

The lights suddenly turned off and everything came to a stop in a few seconds. A blue flame appeared in the middle of where the festival was taking place. A face formed as well.

"Hello creatures of the forest," he smiled with dark and sinister smile.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Oh that is nice of you to ask Lirium, but not for you to know, after all you will have to do me a favor pretty soon or if not..."  he said while laughing.

Suddenly smoke started covering me and a dark mark started appearing on my stomach.

"When that mark turns red you shall die," he said.

Dahlia approached me and helped me to stand. I could barely bear the pain.

"What do you want from her?" Dahlia asked angrily.

"I want Lirium to go on a journey and find the Queen Witzia that nobody has seen for a millenia. When she finds the Queen she will be cured and her true power will be found," said the blue face.

Dahlia and I stared at each other. "None has seen Queen Witzia... for so long though..." said Dahlia. "I know," answered Lirium.

"Well goodbye my dear creatures!" he said while laughing loudly.

A poof of smoke appeared and he disappeared completely.

Dahlia and I stared at the smoke for several minutes then decided it was best to prepare for the journey to come.

We started packing and used our magic to call upon our flying horses.

"Are you ready?" Dahlia asked me.

"Yes, and you?" I asked her smiling.

She nodded.

Our journey into the search of Queen Witzia and the cure for the curse that had appeared on my chest had started.
