Old Mate (EXO Kai Fanfiction)

Chapter 8:

~ your POV~
Today was finally the day where we go back to school from all the camping. I have to be honest, I don't really want to go to school. But I should go to the hospital and check on my leg if it's alright. "Let me take roll really quick before we get to the bus. I feel like I'm back in elementary when we had little field trips. "*Blah blah blah blah blah* Okay so everyone is here." Mrs.Kim said, filling through her notes. As we entered the bus, I saw Nana signaling Kai to sit with her. He looked at me and I told him to go sit by her if he wanted to and so he did. I was alone all the way at the back. As I took out my phone, I put in my earbuds and played a song on. 15 minutes or so, I started to fall asleep. When I woke up, I notice that I was sleeping on someone's shoulders. I looked up to see who it was and saw a guy I've never met before. "Ah mianhae!" I quickly said and tried to bow. "Aniyo. Your fine. I noticed that you were asleep so I came and sit by you and thought that you wouldn't mind." He said cutely as he smiled. "Ka-kamsamida." I said biting my lower lip.

- the "guy" POV~
Actually I wanted to see if she's okay because I notice that her right leg was wrapped up and plus, was humiliated at camp. I thought she was really pretty too. I never really noticed her at school because well, I don't really know. But I noticed that the guy that's been helping her, which I think his name is Kai? He wasn't there to sit with her so I went and sit next to her when she fell asleep.

~ Kai POV~
Nana was actually not that bad of person as I thought (I don't think you know that she was the one who cause y/n to get hurt. You do know that right?). She was a nice girl. We talked about what we liked and we got along with each other. But there was always something that was bothering her when I'm with y/n. Speaking of  y/n, I turned around to look for her and she was with a guy. He's pretty short but not too short and he looks sporty. I kind of got annoyed by it so I just looked away and saw Nana looking at me with a bright smile. I gave her a bright smile too. I told her if she's tired, she can just sleep on my shoulder. She then smiled and nodded her head.

-  1 hr 30 minutes later-
It took us pretty long just to get back to school. I was really tired as I still saw Nana sleeping on my shoulder. She looked really pretty when she's sleeping. She then rubbed her eyes and noticed me staring at her like an idiot. "You look tired." She said while yawning. "Ye-yeah" I said clearing my throat. The bus door opened as the driver told us to exit. I was about to get up when I felt someone grabbed my hand and interlock it(?). I turned around and saw Nana holding my hand and smiling brightly. Wow. She looks cute when she smiles like that. We walked out of the bus holding hands together but, we are not a couple just to be clear.

~ your POV~
I saw Kai and Nana holding hands together through the window and he looked so happy. I felt as if my heart was stabbed with tiny knifes that would cause it to bleed so much. "Was he just being nice? Did he really cared about me?" I said thinking to myself as a tear rolled down my cheeks. "Are you okay?" The guy asked. "Yeah I'm fine" I quickly wiped my tears away as I said that. "I'm going to go out first" I said bowing and then started to walk away. When I reached my classroom, Mrs.Kim said that we only had to write about what we learned at camp and what we liked about it. Again feeling like I'm back in elementary. She then told us to get our stuff ready because school was about to be out in a few minutes.  The bell ranged twice and everyone ran out the door except for me. I wanted to stay here for a bit. I then put on my earbuds and played some music. I felt someone tapping my shoulder so I took off one and looked who it was and it was the guy. "Hey." He said. "How did you know that I was still in my class?" I asked looking confused. "Well I saw you entered but didn't see you exit the class." He said as he chuckled cutely. "Haha yeah I forgot that I came out of the bus before you did." I said. "Hey if you want a ride. I can give you a ride home, but maybe we should go and check up on your leg first?" He asked looking at me. "My leg?" I said. "Yeah. Your cut?" He pointed at my right leg. "Pft duh.... My leg!" I said to myself. "Oh it's okay I'll be fine since it's getting better." I said rubbing my leg.
