Chapter 17

After I got discharged and changed into my clothes, I went to go get my phone. "I thought using these would be easier." I said to myself chuckling after. "Hurry y/n." Soojen said. "Uh maybe a little help?" I said pointing to my casted leg. "Ah... Right." She said running over and slowly pushing me forward from behind. When we got to the lobby my mom gave me a jacket. "Here. Wear this. You're going to freeze to death of you don't take care of yourself. And remember to eat." She said fixing the jacket. "Ah! Omma. Hajima. I can do it myself." I said heading to the chairs near by and putting on the jacket.

"Oh? Hyung?" Someone said. "Ah. Kai!" What are you doing here?" Chanyeol said giving Kai a hug.
"Nana. Nana called and told me that she was at the hospital." He said. As soon I heard the word "Nana" and "at the hospital", I immediately grabbed my crutches and stood up to look at Kai. "Why? What happened to her?" Chanyeol asked. "She said that she got a few bruises and that she got into a fight at school." He said showing the flowers from behind him. "And I wanted to give this to her."

"Yah. Y/n! Were you in the fight? Huh?" My mom asked. I took a second to think about what to say. "Yah!" My mom yelled a little louder gaining attention. I looked up and finally seeing Kai staring at me. "Ani. I was just careless and forgot to look at where I was going and fell down the stairs." I said staring right at Kai without blinking. "Y/n. Gwenchana?" He asked softly. I just nodded. "Let's go." I said coldly and left. "Well. Then I'll see you later." Chanyeol said to Kai. "Mhm."

~Kai POV~
"I didn't know that y/n was in the hospital." I said to myself. "Aish. Now I feel bad for not getting her anything for her getting discharge today." I said. After that I just focused on looking for Nana's room. I finally found Nana's room. I knocked on the door and smiled at her. "Oh? Oppa! You're here!" She said. "Here. I brought you these, purple daisies." I said handing it to her. "Oh. Thanks Oppa. Theses are my favorite flowers too." She said setting them on the desk. "Nana-ah, are you okay?" I asked. "Mhmm. Why?" She asked sitting up straight. "Ah. Aniya. I was just worried." I said walking towards her. "Anyways, have you heard about y/n?" I asked. "U-um.... wh-what happened? Is she hurt?" She asked looking concerned. "Yeah. I saw her while I was looking for you." I said. "Oppa. I'm getting discharge soon." "Already?" I asked sitting on her bed, next to her. "Mhm. I just have a couple bruises." She said. "That's good. It's not that bad, but who did this to you? Tell me." I shouted a little. "Ah..... It's nothing. It's no big deal." She said putting her hand on mine.
After she got discharged, we went to the park and went to the fair. "Are you okay?" I asked. "I'm fine." She said linking her arm around me. "I feel like we are walking to much for you. I mean you just got discharged." I said. "I'm okay. Trust me." She said.
I dropped her off after that and headed home to take a shower.

{The Next Morning}
I rushed to school as fast as I could and because I was running late but gladly I got there in time. As I entered, I see Nana sitting there waiting for me and...... y/n, she's here today.
"Oppa! Come here! I got something for you!" Nana said. I nodded and walked over to her. "Here I got you th-" "Okay class! Get in your seats!" Said the old man. "Never mind I'll just give it to you after school." She said putting the present back in her bag.
"Hello everyone, I'll be substituting for Mr.Nam. Now, I'm Mr.Ying." "Hello Mr.Ying" said the class.
---------------10 minutes----------------
~Your POV~
Ugh I just can't wait until school is over. I hate that little witch over there. Why in the world would someone like that even exist? "Excuse me Mr.Ying, can I go to the restroom?" I asked. "Just hurry." I grabbed my crutches and left, accidentally bumping into people's stuff. "I'm sorry." I said putting my head down. And that "people" was the person I didn't want to get myself involve in any of their problems. He bent down and grabbed his stuff. "It's okay. I just hope that you get well soon." Kai said. I looked up and made eye contact. I broke the eye contact and left to go to the bathroom.
"This day can't get any worse than this can it?"
I just went back to class and thank goodness it was soon over.

Finally it was lunch and now I can eat and maybe that will make me feel better. "Soojen-ah. Can you go get me some food please?" I asked. "Okay. Since you can't even walk so I guess so."

Soojen was walking over to get us food as she suddenly bumped into Chanyeol, literally. "Aish. Really? Now?" She said. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you." He said. "Chanyeol! I didn't know it was you I didn't mean to yell at you.." "No it's okay. Well I got to go anyways, see you later." "B-bye...."
*Pabo! Why did you yell at him? *

I ate my food and went on to my next class, then to the other, then to the other, and then to the other.

After this long day, I finally get to go home and sleep. "Y/n!" "Yes?" I turned around. "Sorry I meant to ask if you're okay but I was late and had some other errands to run at the school." Taemin said. "No it's okay. I'm fine." "Good. So are you doing anything on Friday?" He asked, hesitantly. "Um. Let me see..... well I'll be on the couch, watching tv because of my leg, I won't be able to go anywhere any time soon." I said laughing after. "So? Is that I no?" He said looking at ground. "Well I have nothing better to do so yes." I said moving around with my crutches. *Honest truth, I kinda liked Taemin the moment he "saved" my life. Now that I think about it, he's been here for me. (I know it's cheesy but deal with it!😂💖)

~Kai POV~
"Oppa! Wait for me!" Nana said running towards me. "Here. I got this for you." She said "A promise ring." "For what?" I asked looking at it. "That you will always love me and only me." She said. I just stood there quietly still thinking. "So? Will you?" She asked. "I didn't want to upset her to I just nodded and went along. I never said that I'll promise her that but I do love her. But my heart longs for someone else.
