Dear future me,

How are you?

"EVERYONE GET IN LINE!" Hosu yelled as he stood in front of eighteen teenagers yet again.

"CHILDREN!" Jin shouted too as the eighteen continued to be themselves, and even if it was chaotic to handle, both Jin and Hosu couldn't be exasperated by it.

Both of the boys felt a hand on their shoulders, they turned around to see Iseul and Da-hee standing behind them.

"It's okay, boys, give those vocal cords some rest, we'll handle it today." Da-hee said.

"Yeah, go, be yourselves, you've parented them enough." Iseul smiled warmly at her son, patting his shoulder reassuringly before gently pushing him towards the crowd of teenagers.

"Okay." Hosu sighed, looking at Jin, the two smiled, Hosu reached out and took Jin's hand in his as they turned and mixed in with the teenagers.

Are you still happy? Are you still okay? Like I am now?

"Kids," Ae-cha began, and immediately everyone turned to face her, "Do you all want the picnic to happen, do you all want to hear the announcement or not?"

Immediately, silence fell over the nineteen teenagers.

"Great." Ae-cha smiled, clasping her hands together, "Now, you all move towards your dam, and we'll follow you, okay?"

A loud chorus of 'okay's went through the street before the teenagers began walking through a path they could recite the directions of in their sleep. The path to their home.

I'd hope nothing bad happened. I hope we've all found peace by the time you're reading this.

"Woah," Ae-cha exclaimed as she looked at the dam, "This place is wonderful, children!" She said, already climbing up the staircase.

"Slow down, Ae-cha, you'll break a bone." Suecheon chided playfully.

"I'm not as old as you, old man." Ae-cha grinned, climbing up the staircase with amazing speed.

"You're no match for our Jungkookie and Kyung-mi!" Hosu boasted, playfully pushing the two ahead.

The two looked at each other and nodded before dashing up the staircase. They'd reached the top in under one minute.

"That's impressive." Da-hee praised, "The dam itself is very impressive too."

Jungkook slightly bent forward, his hands on his knees as he breathed, "Hahaha... stupid... lung fibrosis... can't stop me!" He laughed.

How're you in health? All good? The scar's not annoying anymore, is it? And how about that breathing disorder?

"Jungkookie, be careful, though!" Kyung-mi reminded, "We didn't bring any inhalers."

"I'll be fine, Mi." Jungkook straightened up, "See? I'm breathing just fine." He smiled and then turned to look down at the staircase where his brothers, friends, aunts and father were still climbing up, "Hurry up, you all!"

How's everyone else? Jungkookie? Is he able to run without having to stop to breathe? Taehyungie? Has he gotten over those nine years or does he still clutch Minie while sleeping? Did you keep our promise? Jiminie? Has he stopped doubting how he looks? Has... that monster finally stopped haunting his dreams? Namjoonie? Has he written lyrics about love and healing, yet? Did he get the painting he always wanted? Hobi? Is he finally his real, sunshine self, or is it still a mask? I hope it isn't one anymore. And Jin hyungie? Did he finally get to be himself, without having to worry about us so much? And for earth's sake, did he marry Hosu yet?

"Okay! Now, that the picnic's set up!" Da-hee began, her voice loud to get the teenagers' attention, "Everyone please sit down."

The nineteen teenagers immediately sat down on the ridiculously big area they'd spread old bedsheets on, looking at the four adults in front of them expectantly.

"We've got an announcement to make, children." Da-hee said, "Please listen carefully."

And how about Ae-cha noona? Did she find anyone? How many books has she translated? And Auntie Hee? and Dad? Is he still with you? Did he make you his new favourite experiment dish? Did he over-compensate with too many apologies at emotional events? Tell him to stop it, he's apologized enough.

"As we've observed, you all love this dam and the area very much..." Iseul spoke, "So..."

"...We contacted this area's owner... it's apparently owned by a big company. But because of a blockage, they're no longer using this dam, and have instead made a bigger, better one a bit further away." Da-hee continued.

"They said that they were gonna wreck this land anyway... so... we all gathered together," Suecheon gestured to the four of them, "...And gathered our money too."

Several gasps came from the nineteen teenagers.

"And we managed to get a deal!" Ae-cha exclaimed, pulling out a file from her purse, "We bought this area!"

The nineteen teenagers exploded into a chaotic mix of tears, bone-crushing hugs, and cheers.

And our friends? How're things with Jungkook and Kyung-mi? Who confessed first— Kyu-won or Hwan? Did Tae finally notice Kyung-se or is he still dying? And Byung-hoon, is he in a situation similar to Kyung-se or was he braver? And Ki-ha and Duri and Ki-ho and Nabi? Did Hobi find anyone? And Joon-ah, is Ga-eun still helping him write lyrics? And what about... Su-hye? Is she still there? I'm not even going to ask about Hosu and Jin hyung because there's no other option but them being married.

"OKAY, OKAY!" Hoseok yelled, standing up amidst the chaos, "Since this is such a good, day, we'd also like to announce something!" He beckoned his brothers, Hosu, Su-hye and Ga-eun to stand up.

Have you made any more music with our brothers and friends?

"WE MADE A SONG!" Namjoon screeched in utter excitement.

And with that, they played their song, letting it float through the joyous atmosphere.

We're still seven, right? That's all that matters. I really hope we are, we'd been separated too long, and we've gone through too much together to be not seven.

By the time the song ended, everyone had been in tears.

"OKAY ENOUGH TEARS! GROUP HUG TIME!" Hosu announced through his tears, and somehow, they managed to encircle into a big, twenty-three person group hug.

I don't know what's ahead, but as long as we still have each other in the future, I believe we'll all be okay. That's what I hope, and that's my only dream.

I hope this dream comes true.

Until better days and a joy that lasts forever,

—Yoongi.

A/N:

THE END.

:D

YES, you heard it, YNWA has officially. Ended.

I've got a lot of emotions joined to this story, I wrote it mostly in an angered haze or, just a haze. Lost in the words. I think I'll never forget this story, I had a lot of ups and downs, but this story always stayed a constant presence in my life. And I made a lot of friends along the way! I hope you all liked this story too, and... I don't have a lot of words right now, so maybe I'll come back tomorrow and write a proper sign off.

There's this warm feeling in my heart right now, and... yeah.

But this isn't the last, just know! More is to come.

But until then, thank you to everyone who stayed. 💜

And for the last time in a very long time,

Have an AMAZING, GOOD, WONDERFUL, EVERY GOOD ADJECTIVE IN THE WORLD, day,  my sadistic angels.
