The next morning I woke up really early due to the fact that I had a really scary dream about what could of happened to Amber. I woke up crying and horrified. I walked down stairs and headed towards my mums room. I opened her door but she wasn't in there. I walked to the kitchen and sore that there was a note saying that she had to go to work but she would be home as soon as possible. I walked back up to my room and sat on my bed clueless what to do. I finally decided that I was getting miserable and depressed. Anger started to fill my body and eventually I got so frustrated that I started to trash my room. I smashed everything and tore things apart. After a while I decided I was going to go for a run to make me feel better. I got changed into my sports gear and grabbed my phone and headphones. I ran down stairs and wrote a note for my mum saying that I needed to go for a run to make me feel better about things. I left it on the bench and walked out the door. As soon as I started to run down the street I started to realise that the police were going to come to my house soon. The sun was hardly even up yet so I decided that I would go for a quick run and get back to the house as soon as possible. While I was running I had so many emotions running through my head. I felt depressed, angry, sad, worried, miserable and all together un happy. I felt really pathetic and useless. I was determined to find out what happened to Amber so I started to remember the way she said she walks to school. I ran to her house and walked the way she walks to school. Then I found a earring that looked just like Ambers. I carefully picked it up and placed it in my pocket. I kept walking. Then I remembered something. Amber told me a couple of days ago that she thought a light blue van was following her to school. She explained to me that it had a sticker on it that said I❤️AUSTRALIA. Then out of nowhere I sore a light blue van turn around the corner. It raced down the street so fast that I could hardly see anything apart from a sticker that looked like it said I❤️AUSTRALIA. I quickly hid behind a bush and stood there for 10 minutes. Then the van came tearing down the street again. I stepped backwards and watched it turn the corner. I waited till it was a couple of metres away then I started to follow it down the street. I got my phone out of my pocket and rang my mum. When she picked up my phone ran out of battery. I quickly counted how many houses down it was from where I was standing. I counted 5 houses down. I sprinted back home and opened the door with my key. Once I got in I quickly slammed the door shut and ran up to my room. Then I heard a car race down my street. I ran back down the stairs and looked out the window. It was the blue van. Then I remembered that I forgot to lock the door. I ran to the door and locked it. The van drove slowly past my house then disappeared. I ran up stairs and put my phone on charge. Then I heard a car slowly drive down the street. I ran to the window and sore the blue van pull up out the fount of my house. My heart started to pound in my chest almost like it was going to jump out. I ran to the study and picked up the phone. There was still a few thing attached to the phone from yesterday when the police came over and we're trying to track the phone call. I pulled all the wires out of the phone box and dialled my mums number. She picked up almost instantly and I said mum you need to come now!!. Someone has parked out the front of the house and I think it's the person who took Amber. She quickly responded and said I'm about 1 minute away. The minute couldn't of passed by any quicker. I sore mum race down the street and then the van drove away. I managed to write the number plate of the van down on a pice of paper. Mum pulled into the drive way and raced to the door. She opened the door and ran to me. She gave me a big hug and asked if I was ok. Then she said that she was sorry She left me home alone. I told her that I followed the van to where it lived. She quickly rang the police and before I knew it they pulled up in our drive way. I directed them to where the van was and they raced to the house. I watched them kick the door open and arrest the man. They were in the house for 10 minutes and then they finally walked out with Amber. I ran as fast as I could over to her and gave her a big hug. The police thanked me for helping them find her. I was so relieved that she was ok. They took her to the police station and asked her some questions. After they did a few tests and asked her some questions Ambers mum and dad ran into the police station and gave Amber a massive hug. They thanked the police for finding her and the police corrected them and said that I found her and that they should thank me. They walked over to me with Amber in their arms and gave me a big hug and thanked me. Amber look terrified and unwell. After all of that we left the police station and early the next morning on the news they announced that the best friend of the girl that went missing found her. I felt really proud of my self and lucky that Amber was ok. We both didn't go to school for a week due to the fact that we were both shocked and we weren't in the right head space to go back to school. We hung out for a few of the days we weren't at school. The next week we went to school and got on with our lives. This all happened six years ago and we are still the best of friends. We are now 19 and our friendship has never broken apart.
