The mystery of the smiles was solved. The social services were coming. Gluma had to have her smile on. After all, she needed to convince them that I was homeschooled and that i was treated like a princess or atleast a regular child. Anyway thats what she promises them. Every year a lady with a obnixious yellow hat came in from the services. I would not be surprised if she was medusa in disguise trying to cover her snakes of her hair. She had this gianormous wart in her face with the classic glasses to pair with them. She never failed to smile and this was scary. I mean who smiles every single second of their live. Once Gluma spilled hot burning black tea on her and her reaction was as small as her brain. 'Its okay darl. It would only cause a stain' she said with her pitched voice. Does she not have any sense of pain? Because, i know through experience that it would hurt like hell.

Every year, Gluma and Ms Yellow the representative from social service will have a tea party together. Gluma takes this an oppurtunity to flaunt all the  wealth. With Nerissa and her dressed in their best dresses, they would engage in a hour long chat about the latest lipstick colour in trend. The only thing i liked about the visit day was that i could finally see the chandeliers lit up and practically see the whole mansion glowing.

The halls will be cleared. There wouldnt be any cowebs on the ceiling. The floor would sparkle under the glow of the lights. All by the courtesy of me. It was the time of year where the chores will be worth it. Evem the dining room will filled wuth the aroma of food. An excessive amount of food would be all aligned neatly on  the table. The only chore I was never allowed to do was to cook. Besides the chef hated me. Well i hate him toi. He looked like he was going to murder me every time i came close to the kitchen. Obviously, my food tastes disgusting. Duh.

I think yellow lady is the one who ever enters and leaves the mansion like castle. I mean Gluma or Nerissa never brought over any visitors. Why would they? They were always afraid someone would usurp whatever they had.

But unlike usual punctual lady Ms Yellow was, she was very late. Considering the fact that Nerissa who usually takes million years to get ready and only arrives forever after her arrival, this was very weird. Gluma was biting her nails loke a mad woman and Nerissa looked utterly nervous. This was getting a bit to nerve wrecking. I mean Nerissa never gets anxious. Its like a second nature for her to be all sassy and flip her hair in annoyance. But no, both were waiting, waiting for the doorbell to ring. For ages and ages they just kept staring at the door.

At this point of time I was in a full freak out mode. They were scaring me. It was almost as if they were waiting for the demon behind the door to finally break the hinges and enter in. The whole room was engulfed in silence. It was creepy. It was a pin drop silence except for Gluma 's deep breaths. Why was the so much drama just for Ms Yellow hats arrival.

"Tring".

The shrill cry of the doorbell was heard. The door opened with a boom. A tall man clad in black entered...
