POV: Millie
I had to hide from the millions of eyes watching me, stalking me. They wouldn't leave me alone. I ran and ran until I found a small concrete bunker. I ran and locked myself in. The whatzits... Lipozine plan failed. They lived and bred.
They could smell me. Ever closer they came, clawing and scratching with their razor-like talons. Then... they stopped. I knew why, in the distance I heard the rumbling of a jeep's Diesel engine ripping through the silent jungle. Then, in an instant, they were gone... in the direction of the Jeep.
I heard shouts and guns triggering in the forest and calls from the creatures for reinforcements. Then, dreadfully, the gunfire stopped. Who had won? Then I saw the handle of the door turn slowly. They knew how to open doors! It opened and in the door frame was...
