Chapter 11

Awake.... She's awake.... I was stunned at Cameron's words.
"Sydney are you still there?"
I paused before saying yes and that I would be there soon. I hung up the phone, walked back up the the cement and put my shoes on. I walked to the street and called a cab back to the hospital. The cab ride felt like it took hours. Literally. When I finally arrived at the hospital I ran into her room. I saw her mom, tears streaming down her face, smiling widely. And then I saw Cameron standing in the corner watching. And then I finally saw Kenzie. She still looked like crap, but this time, her eyes were open. And she was smiling and laughing as her and her mom were taking. I took another step in, making my entrance known. Kenzie and her mom looked up and Kenzie's eyes got big and she smiled. I ran over to her, tears in my eyes.
"I was so scared... So fricken scared..." I cried into her warm arms.
She is alive. She is okay... She is back to being the Kenzie we all know so well..

4 weeks later -
"Can I take your order?" A male voice said over the speaker at the drive through of Mc.Donalds.
"Umm yeah, can I have 2 recess mc.flurrys, 3 large fries and a large doctor pepper?"
"Yeah, that will be $10.17 at the front window." I drove up to the front window, glancing at Cameron on his phone sitting next to me. He was on Instagram replying to some fans.
"$10.17 please." I looked over at the Mc.Donalds worker staring at me. It was the same male worker that took my order. I smiled and reached for my purse handing him cash.
"Your really pretty." He said smiling. Cameron's head shot up from his phone and looked at the worker.
"She's seeing someone." Cameron said coldly. The guy glared at Cameron and handed us our food. "What was that about?" I asked Cameron as I got on the freeway.
"I don't know, I just didn't like him. And he doesn't deserve you."
"Cameron, in your eyes no one deserves me. You want me to just be unhappy and single for the rest of my life?!"
"No Syd... I don't know.. It's just hard to explain."
"K whatever Cameron." I scoffed.

Today was the day Kenzie finally got to leave to hospital and go home. She was doing so much better. She looked more like herself, and she was more up beat and happy. The first 2 weeks in the hospital she was really depressed. But over the last 2 weeks KayLynn, Cam, Taylor and I had brought her Spirits up. Today we were being her a Mc.Flurry and fries (hence the Mc.Donalds). We got to the hospital and I grabbed the fries and Mc Flurrys as I got out of the car. I Walked up to Kenzie's room and saw her dressed In a maroon sweater and high waisted black shorts. She had her hair in a braid down her back and had on a little makeup. This was the best she had looked in almost a month. She had her bag packed and she was sitting on her phone probably responding to people on her Instagram and Twitter telling her to feel better. Over the course of her getting in the crash, she had gained almost million followers. Her and Taylor were doing really well and I could tell he really liked her. I walked into the room and handed her the food and shake and sad down in a chair.
"Finally ready to go home?" I asked grinning.
"You don't even know." She laughed taking a mouthful of Mc.Flurry and Fries. I was excited for her. She finally got to see her little brother (who was still back home.) and Cam and I had to go back to Magcon on Saturday. Along with all the other boys. They decided to delay it for a month because of Kenzie... But like her mom said if she made a full recovery she could come back. So she was going to stay home for 4 weeks, then meet us in Texas for that meet and greet and travel with us for all the rest.
Finally, things were getting back to normal. But Cameron had still
Been acting really weird with me. Nash and I haven't really been talking since I have put most of my energy in Kenzie the past few weeks. But Cam was still acting weird. And I'm going to get to the bottom of what is up with him.

A/N - okay, I'm sorry. So sorry. This story is just going to be really slow updates because I will go through fazes of wanting to right then a couple days later I don't want to at all. But I'm sorry. So yeah...... But I hope you liked this update. It is really short but oh welllll! Love you guys!
