When I finally became conscience, I faintly heard the sound of footsteps on the cold floorboards, it was as if they weren't trying to be heard in the almost silent room. The footsteps didn't sound like they were getting closer nor farther, but as if they were impatiently pacing back and forth. Then the person said something but very faintly in a soothing voice "who is this girl? Where did she come from?"
I opened my eyes just enough to see him, with his black wavy hair, his dark blue worried eyes, his light gray hoodie, his old jeans that were a faded blue, and his old converse tenna' shoes. He didn't seem dangerous and he looked about my age maybe a year older so I began to sit up and said "I'm Rachel, and I have to idea how I got hear, I was just here at one point."
I began to feel around my neck to make sure the pocket watch was still there and nothing happened to it, thankfully it was still there, so I let out a sigh of relief. The man just kept looking at me as if there were something wrong. After a few minutes he asked "what happened to you? Are you okay? Are you in any pain?"
At first I didn't understand what he meant. Then after a few minutes I realized he meant the cuts and bruises, then I responded "ye, I'll be fine. I completely forgot about the injuries and such."
After a few minutes he asked "why's the pocket watch around you're neck?"
Then i wondered why exactly is this around my neck? When did it even get there?
So I told him "I actually don't know." I mean i wasn't lying, I really didn't, the last thing that I remember is almost dieing and then I was here.
Then he said "however you came here, whoever you are, or what happened to you, that is in the past and now is now. I'm Cloud, welcome to my home or something of the sort."
I responded "thank you, and it's a pleasure to meet you. What happened to this place though? That is if you don't mind me asking."
When I said that he looked towards the ground and said "I honestly don't really know. I just found this house one day and stayed ever since wondering the same question myself. But anyway it's beginning to get pretty late out, wanna go look at all the stars?"
Now that he mentioned it, it was pretty late maybe 10 or 11 o'clock, but I still said "sure" even though I didn't really know him and was really tired I went to look at the stars with him. Either way I didn't really regret my decision because of seeing the joy in his dark blue eyes that twinkled in the moonlight.
So I got up, dusted myself off and headed towards the door, but before I got there he said "wait, I know a really good spot to look at the stars, follow me" then I followed him to wherever he lead me.
