"Finally, my leave application has been approved. I'll be going on a vacation for one week", Amber said with happiness.
"Some people are really lucky unlike others like me who has to work and work and work... I'm feeling jealous now", Lance jokes.
" I really need a break from everything", Amber sighed." I will be flying to Paris. Do you want me to bring something for you?"
"Hmmmm a beautiful girlfriend in Paris, why not!"
"Lance!", Amber scolded him. " I can already imagine the reaction of Ashley if she was here. By the way how was your dinner? Did she like the chain?"
"She adore that. Your choice is really amazing. Ashley was very happy and i took this opportunity to propose to her. And she accepted"
"Congratulation dude", Amber stand up from her chair and hug Lance. "I am really very happy for you people"
Amber release Lance and look into his eyes. He was her best friend and she was just praying that he remain forever happy with Ashley. She can never forget his support during her hard times. Indeed one has truly said it is only during your darkest hours that you come to know who is your true friend. And Lance had proved to be trustworthy.
"Ashley want to get married the earliest possible. She no longer want to wait",Lance said
"And she is right. One can never trust destiny. Everything can change in just one blink of your eyes",Amber said thoughtfully.
"Amber!",Lance said while holding her hand. "Still thinking about David?"
"He called me yesterday", Amber said softly."I know he will not leave me so easily. And i wanna run away from him"
Lance gently cupped her face and look into her innocent eyes.
"Look at me Amber", he ordered." He cannot harm you as long as i am with you. He cannot do anything so stop getting scared of him".
"I know David better than you", Amber argued." He is capable of everything".
Amber realize that she is getting late. She told Lance that she will need to go home to do packing. Her flight is scheduled for this evening. Lance propose to drop her at the airport. But Amber refuse
"I can manage on my own, buddy", she told Lance. "Don't worry".
She cannot abuse on someone goodness. Lance will never hesitate to help her but right now she has to find her way by herself. The path will be difficult but she has to walk on it alone. She will miss Lance a lot.
