Chapter 9

Arnav found Khushi crying in the terrace. Her face was covered by her knees.
"Khushi I didn't mean anything " he spoke trying to calm Khushi down. He slowly bent down near Khushi. There was no response by her. He gently lifted her head. Her eyes were so red and puffy from the continuous sobs. She just stared at him. Arnav started again,
"Look, I didn't mean anything... And..."
"WHAT IS THERE TO MEAN IN WHAT YOU SAID?!? THERE MUST BE SOMETH..." Khushi raged out but was stopped by Arnav's shut up.
But Khushi continued.
"I need to know now! Our real story!! What happened? Why are you always distanced from me?!? You said it was love marriage then..." Another tear rolled down Khushi's cheeks. Arnav couldn't keep it cool anymore.
"Shut up dammit!" He raged. Then he began telling her that she and Shyam had an affair and what he saw on the terrace as a proof.
Khushi stood rooted to the ground. Was Arnav saying the truth? Or he mistook her?
"STOP ARNAVJI!" A familiar voice was heard behind them.

It was Payal. Both of them stood there shocked.
" How can you think like this about Khushi??" Payal fumed at Arnav.
Arnav stood there still not responding.
"Do you know what happened?! Shyam cheated on us and got engaged to Khushi! Later on we knew that he was married to Anjaliji! We wanted to tell you but Khushi told us that your sister and you would be hurt... She was thinking about other's but you..." Payal began to cry.
Khushi tried to console her sister who was sobbing uncontrollably. She was also shocked to hear what her sister had just said. Arnav was just standing there trying to catch everything Payal had just said.
"Arnavji, please don't mistake my sister like this ever again. I hope you take care of my sister..." Payal said before leaving the terrace.
Arnav was also about to leave but
"Wait Arnavji! So you married me thinking that I have an affair with shyam?" Khushi said weakly. She couldn't really take in anything. Suddenly, the world was spinning. The world became dark.
Khushi fainted.
