Years had passed, and the island was filled with the laughter of children.
Venice, Eli, and Codey ran across the yard, their small feet kicking up sand as Porchay chased after them, waving his hands and calling out, "Be careful! Don't get too close to the water! Watch out for that tree!"
The children only giggled and shouted back, "Okay, Pa Chay!" Their energy was endless, and their joy contagious.
Kim leaned against Vegas' side, arms wrapped around his waist, while Porchay rested lightly against his other side.
The three of them watched the children with quiet smiles, hearts swelling with love and contentment.
Vegas' hands rested on both Kim and Porchay, fingers brushing theirs in a familiar, comforting rhythm.
"This... this is perfect," Vegas murmured, his eyes following the children as they tumbled and played. "I wanted this. All of it."
Porchay laughed softly, brushing a strand of hair from his face. "We built it together, remember? It's ours."
Suddenly, Venice walked over to them and in a little voice asked, "Daddy Vegas, when will we get to see Uncle Porsche and Phoenix and Magnum again?"
Vegas crouched to meet her level, "I don't know Venice, why don't you give them a call? Here." Vegas handed his phone to the little girl and ruffled her hair before she ran off.
Kim kissed Vegas' shoulder lightly, a private, tender moment amid the chaos of little feet and laughter. "We will always be together," he said, voice soft but certain.
Vegas looked down at them both, smiling, before turning his gaze to the three children racing toward the water. For the first time in his life, he felt a calm he never thought he'd have.
Safe, loved, and surrounded by his family-chosen and made, messy and beautiful-he knew this was home.
The sun dipped lower over the horizon, casting a golden glow across the island. The three of them-Vegas, Kim, and Porchay-stood side by side, hands intertwined, hearts beating in quiet harmony as the children laughed and ran free around them.
