Bloom could hear her heart beating loudly, rapidly. Her head was throbbing, but with each pound in her head, the pain lessened, until it completely vanished. Her eyes flung open, but she didn't process what she was seeing. She stood up from a lying position. She blinked a couple of times. She looked at the ground and in front of her saw a small beautiful lake. In it was her reflection. She was in her Bloomix fairy form, the colors showing vibrantly. She flapped her wings a few times and roamed around, because in the middle of it all, was her large stomach. She wondered how many months along she was. Four? Five? And where was Sky? Bloom looked around. Everywhere she looked was white. She continued to fly around.

"Sky?" She said.

"Sky?" She repeated. Her voice echoed.

She began to get frustrated and worried, flying around more and more. She went back to the water and knelt down, splashing her face with the glowing water. It felt soothing on her face. Bloom stood back up. She was glowing. Looking around one last time, an idea popped into her mind.

"Great Dragon, reveal the way!"

Slowly, orange and red sparks began to fly around her, one by one. They formed together to create a dragon, which wrapped around her as it always did. The dragon released from her and grew bigger to reveal the Great Dragon, creator of the Magic Dimension and Bloom's source of power.

"Hello, Bloom."

She curtsied. "Great Dragon, what's happened to me? Where am I? Where's Sky?"

"Young one, you are in between life and death."

"What? This can't be-how?"

"You are in a coma. You didn't have enough energy to maintain yourself. Not to worry, I have restored all your power."

"How long have I been in a coma?"

"4 months, my dear. This was a very serious matter for your life. You have been fighting for very long now."

"When do I get to leave?"

"That is up to you. You now have a choice. To continue fighting for your life, or go to rest."

"I don't understand, I would never just quit on my life like that, so why would I even be asked that? I have a husband, 2 kids, 2 sets of parents, a sister, friends, and a child on the way, so why would I give my life?"

"To protect your family."

"I don't understand? Protect them from what?"

"Any harm that may come their way."

"And the child I am carrying?"

"This child shall be protected, too. I will assure you that if you choose to be laid to rest, I will still have the baby be born."

"But Sky would be devastated. My children would be raised with no mother."

"It is certainly a risk to take, but if you would like, there is still the option for life. But there's a catch."

Bloom looked up at the Great Dragon. "What catch?"

"If you choose to live, I may not ensure the birth of this child. I also may not be able to grant you access to your memories."

"What?! My memories?! I wouldn't be able to remember Sky, or my friends, my family, my children. I wouldn't be me."

"It's one choice or the other, Bloom."
