"And now, ladies and gentlemen, we present to you our beloved princess, Anna!"
The audience applauded as the red curtain was pulled back, revealing the ballerina, adorned in pink.
Anna sighed, beginning her dance. This was the first time she'd gotten to dance at this great a theater. It was one of the best in New York. For not being a big name theater of course. She had yet to reach the level of fame she'd hoped for. But, with the rate she was going at, she'd be there soon.
As Anna did her usual permanence, she looked into the crowd. A familiar blonde sat in the center, giving her a thumbs up. She smiled slightly, doing a twirl. Her mind wandered back to thoughts of her upcoming wedding. She thought about how nervous, yet excited she was.
As she finished her dance, her eyes made contact with his. The audience applauded, but he did the loudest. She held the edges of her skirt, bowing. Anna than made her way backstage. She sat down, letting her hair dresser apply some spray.
"You were splendid as always, dear" Valka complimented, brushing her hair.
"Thanks, Valka. I just, hope I do better than this some day. I don't wanna be stuck at this theater forever" Anna said, sighing heavily.
"And you won't. One day, the biggest director in New York will notice you, and you'll be more famous than ever!" Valka exclaimed.
Anna smiled a bit. Valka was always positive about things, even in the most negative of situations. Anna had learned to be like her. After all, they'd known each other for about two years now. Her influence had rubbed off.
"Congrats on another perfect performance, princess" Kristoff said, kissing her cheek.
Anna smiled, excepting the roses he offered her. He walked over to his best friend, Eric. He was captain of the boat Krisotff always traveled on. See, Kristoff was an adventurer. He loved going to strange places, learning new things, seeing different cultures, etc.
That's the one thing that had made Anna's family, and his, believe it could never work between them. She was a show girl, he was an explorer. They were too different. But, the two had proved them wrong, enjoying each other's differences.
"We leave tomorrow morning. Are you prepared?" Eric asked, lighting a cigar.
"Always. Are you, Anna?" Kristoff asked, facing her.
"Of course, honey" She replied, taking off her earrings.
"Wait. You're going on another trip with him?" Valka asked, surprised.
Anna nodded, making Valka gasp in surprise. "Didn't you learn you're lesson from last times trip?"
"Hey now, that trip was great!" Kristoff exclaimed.
Anna snorted. "Yes. I have scars on my chest from scarlet fever to remind me just how "great" it was."
Kristoff mumbled something and went back to speaking with Eric. Anna giggled, reading a magazine. She was ok with getting sick again if it ment spending quality time with her fiance. After all, he always came to her shows. She should return the favor, and go on at least a few expeditions with him. Besides, what's the worst that could happen?
