Hiccup had stopped growling, lowering his front paws onto the ground. Greedy flew around his head, learning on a street lamp. He shrieked, turning his head to the foggy street ahead. Hiccup followed his gaze, hearing approaching foot steps.
A female figure slowly approached through the fog. Anna emerged from the fog, taking each step carefully. Hiccup did the same, walking towards her. The two stopped every now and again, taking their time. Almost like a child that had been reunited with a long lost parent.
The two finally stopped directly in front of each other. They both looked back at his tail. Hiccup slowish moved it in front of himself, offering it to the young female.
Anna smiled, gladly accepting the invitation. She sat in his tail, just like always. He gently wrapped it around her waist, lifting her up. Anna reached a hand up, beginning to stroke his muzzle. Tears of joy were threatening to the fall. She thought she might never see him again.
Hiccup, on the other hand, was having a hard time not getting emotional himself. Anna was the first human to not fear him. Never, in all his life as a hybrid, had someone not been afraid of him. She was the exact opposite. She...loved him.
Hiccup slowly carried her down the street, making sure not to drop her. Greedy flew after then, following close behind. They ended up reaching the park, walking through the snow.
Anna gasped as Hiccup dropped her into the deep snow bank. She glared up at him, but it soon faded. Hiccup laughed, leaning down to her. Anna shook her head, tossing snow in his face. He wrinkled his nose, sneezing.
Anna laughed, kissing his muzzle. Hiccup returned the affection, purring against her. She put her arms around his head, rubbing her nose against his. He decided to have some more fun with her.
Anna watched as Hiccup used his wings to blow snow up into the air. Once many snowflakes were in the air, he sent of a plasma blast. Anna gasped in amazement, watching the many snowflakes turn blue with the energy.
"Beautiful..." She murmured.
Hiccup wagged his tail, watching them as well. Greedy opened his mouth, letting the snowflakes fall onto his tongue. Anna giggled, spinning in circles. For the moment, the three were blissful. But, that moment quickly ended.
"Fire!" Cried the general.
The soldiers obeyed, sending off a missile. It struck the snow bank, sending snow flying everywhere. Anna screamed, shielding herself with her hands. Hiccup quickly moved her out of the way, wrapping his tail around her again.
He shot into the air, flying as far as he could. The general and soldiers watched them disappear.
"He's gone sir" Eric informed, having come with them.
"We better catch up to him. We'll have to send out jets" The general replied.
"We'll find him. Beauty...will kill the beast" Eric said, staring at the night sky.
